Friends who had travelled in upper north will agree that travelling in lower north makes some suffocation bcz valleys in lower north are not as wide as in upper north like Gilgit Baltistan and seeing big lush green planes is a wonderful experience in lower north. 
If friends have visited fairy meadow they can easily understand the beauty of arang kel as it has wide lush green meadows, grazing cows and horses there. Though background is not filled with the Giant snow capped Nanga Parbat but mountains surrounding Arang kel are also beautiful. You can play any kind of game like cricket, football, Frisbee, riding here. Walks are wonderful you can spend days to explore the beauty of the planes or just stay at ur rest house and enjoy the beauty of the nature. We made an easy walk of about 30 mins to the glacier. Boys always make bonfire here and we also joined them making BBQ here was a wonderful experience but don't forget to take ur own chiken and masalas. We stayed at Al Habib Guest House there who charged 1200 for a night. it has a small camping ground, a fireplace for bonfire and BBQ grill facility. Though it was not so clean but good enough to stay for a night. But do bring some mospel or ON with you bcz we were badly bite by bed bugs there. The fresh yogurt(Lassi) our porter brought was really delicious and my kids experienced this much pure yogurt first time.
