I know the watches you own dont require but have you tried adjusting the movements urself using time grapher or any other tool?

Yes. Only the pocket watch because it has a replacement escapement spring which is the closest I could find but not precisely correct. Hence the watch time keeping was not acceptable. That one needed to be sped up to the point that the adjustment lever is off the scale and yet it is slow by about 15-20 sec per day. Sadly I do not own a timegrapher.

you can try the app ' Watch Accuracy Meter' to check the deviation and beat error however you need to check the movement at different angels manually, however it will give you a closest idea.

BTW, how did you regulate the movement of your pocket watch without a time grapher? did u timed it againt a stop watch?

this is wat Marvin watch shows, although it has been lubricated but still with original parts, slow movement is effected by gravity and different angels but still very accurate while on hand.

yes sir, they say that manual wind watch has more service life as compared to automatic.

My remark about the Marvin being a manual was by no means to discount the movement. It was just an observation. Quite a few of my watches are manual and I really don't think it is such chore to wind up the watch before going to sleep.

Winding a manual watch is part of the charm for me too. There’s something satisfying about the process, like you're connecting with the timepiece. Plus, it’s a nice little ritual before bed. I have a few manual watches in my collection as well, and I’ve found that they just have a certain feel that’s hard to beat.

I also recently got a [super clone Rolex GMT] just to see how it compared to the real thing, and while I know it’s not the genuine article, I was impressed by the craftsmanship. It gave me that same connection you get with a manual wind, even though it’s a bit more automatic in the long run.
