Anyone got reviews for RF 360.3?

Sir , its a great piece of equipment with powerpacks of tuning capabilities. Geared towards factory system integration, has optical input as well which quite nifty as well. Earlier versions HAD some problems especially with the software and turn on/off pop but they have been remedied from what I read last.But the price range makes some other options like H800, PS8, Mosconi 6to8 very strong contenders as well and I would say give them a though as well. You may also throw Bit One in the mix here, all these years and its STILL going very very strong.

The fact is, thanks to two different schools of thoughts, there will be two systems with different mounting configurations, both sounding nothing short of great!

It is cheaper than H800, Bit one and Mosconiand Helix. But i am blown away by its endless tuning capabilities. Looks too good on paper but lets see how it performs. I am still thinking on it.

Yes Taimur bhai, 360.3 is indeed a very capable unit and is really keeping the current owners really happy. It deserves real hard consideration. Plus the bluetooth thingie is fun as well.

Talking of midrange install u guys wud b surprised to hear that indonesian are absolutely fanatic when it comes to car audio. Here are some examples of the recent trend of midrange install.

I have personally had a demo of utopia with sleeping midrange and d stage is xtremely wide and deep compared to other positions on dash. Here is pic of my friendz car testing midrange position.

According to a theory since you can't really control reflections inside a car cabin, why not just fire the drivers right info the windshield and spread the chaos. Instead of the delay between incident and reflected sound causing the smearing of imaging, why not just listen to the reflected sound. It works really great in some cars. While in some others it may not be anything special.

Ok just want to extract maximum out of this.
Firing the drivers perpendicular to the floor or horizontal plane causes any FR problems with the other drivers dispersion pattern?

When the driver is fired into winshield, the different frequencies with different wavelengths make new point sources and thus greatly alter the phase with respect to HRTF
If thats true than FR and phase cohesiveness of the system will be a nightmare to get just right.

This reason along with the coloration of sound that the windshield glass imparts on the original sound is why I'm not a fan of this configuration. But there are guys that still swear by it. Especially in the cases where a stealth install is the goal and using stock factory location is an absolute must we see this configuration being used more and more since majority of car manufacturers are putting their drivers up there on the dash especially in the middle range and budget cars. The premium range gets the best possible location of speakers depending on the drivers..

I suggest look for a thread called something like "windshield ate my soundstage" at diyma. Apart from this Dr Floyd tooles papers on this matter are very interesting.
