Route to Swat

we are planning a trip to swat. we travelled many times to Pindi,Kashmmir, Gb and mostly goes by

Bahawalpur..Lodhran.. Khanewal..ShorKot..Gojra..Pindi Bhattian..M2/M1
or
via N5 upto Lahore than Motorway

we have traveled so many times on this route. along swat we want to visit Turkham and Bab=e=Khabir

any updates on D.I.Khan to Pindi Motorway?

N55 condition from Jampur to D.I.Khan upto Nowshera?

I know M4,M3,M2,M1 and Swat Expressway is excellent route but we go for exploring and If roads are good than why not to see a new area!

I travel from sahiwal to swat via gt road. Sahiwal say lahore.say islamabad night stay.next morning islamabad say peshawar via motorway then next morning peshawar say mardan swat malam jabbah

Never heard of the DI Khan to pindi motorway. I belong to swat and frequently travel there. i just didn't see any questions in your thread

N55 is yellow line on map and goes up to Peshawar
and D.I.Khan to Pindi motorway is blue line. we can see almost 50% blue line is operational

Since i Reside in Islamabad, i am unable to help you there.
Though we do send a member of our office staff on a 6 month basis to DI Khan and Okara from here. The public transport that he uses, doesn't use motorway, so i am guessing that its not operational. As for N55, its usually requiring repairs after the rainy season, but last when he went, which was in December i believe, there were no complains about the road condition.

@dayrider ! Could you please let me know which route do you take to travel to Swat from Islamabad?

These days, i use the motorway to swat chakdara interchange, take that till katlung, get off from there and follow the road to a 2 mountains and reach home in 3.5 hours.
For people not familiar with the area, they should take the motorway till rashakai interchange and then follow the gt road from there, takes about 5 hours ish

Well last year in July, I used the same route... Islamabad-Rashakai-Mardan Bypass-Chakdara-Mingora...
But I gather there is another route now... which is from Col Sher Khan Interchange on M1. I think this is the same Swat Motorway, that we have been hearing for sometime now.... or I am wrong about that?

Correct, this is the same swat expressway. but it is not yet complete, it is partially inaugurated, it is the same route that i use. Col sher khan interchange is renamed as swat motorway
