S buying baleno a wrong choice?

Naah yaar...suzuki ki car body jaisi bhi ho, atleast all engines made by suzuki work like donkies - i mean they are so rough and tough - we still see khybers, margallas. Mehrans plying on roads with full satisfaction of owners..it is a sign that the engines atleast are something zabardast made by suzuki japan...

im not hitting brand name Suzuki.. i myself owns and drive Suzuki. . im specifically referring to balenos n lianas.. there are mang things wrong with them.. let me quote you a small example..
in liana, to get the generator out, you have to open axle.
then there are coil problems.
many more.

There is no coil issue - my car has clocked 125k km and total run on cng. Still on factory coils since 10 years..

Aur gen k liey axle nahi khulta...kisne kaha aapse? Me ne abhi 2 months pehle lagwaya hai new generator...

Also, my neighbour have a baleno 1999 over 250k driven - body repainted but still same water dropping engine..

Thats very much true.
The engines and gearbixes are robust.
Even 67 two strokes are still performing daily pickup duties for school childreen

Time to change your blind mechanic. What else does he do ? Remove fuel pump to change spark plugs.

i am using suzuki baleno since 2005, its the best car in this price.. a good baleno will cost you 600k in lhr/isb

Engine life depends upon the user of the car and in some cases, the producer of car as well. Suzuki sometimes produces crap - like Alto - my Alto engine was finished at 40k kms (3S dealer maintained) whereas my efi cultus (3S Dealer maintained) has clocked about 250k kms and still in genuine seals - not even valves are replaced.

With all that said, suzuki engine life is a bit shorter i.e. 150k-300k kms whereas i have witnessed honda's and Toyota's crossing 400k kms without any smoke or oil reduction! So, it also depends upon owner maintenance
