A small day out trip to newly built lake in the region of Abbottabad, Yes Samundar Katha Lake and pipe-linke track as a bonus.
After picking up the gang from there HSH (Home-sweet-Home), we were on the journey at 6:30 AM. After 30 minutes we reached Bharakao and although it was too early but few hotels were open where you can have the breakfast but with a quick 5 min break to check the air pressure of tyres we moved and stopped at Hawaldar Hotel in 17-Mile just before the junction of old Murree road and Express way.
we stopped there earlier when we were visit the Pir Chinasi and bhai sab ki Tea was amazing, but this time we dont have Nihari with us so Anda,Paratha,Chany and Tea was the breakfast. Also we dont want to get stuck in famous road jam of Bharakao
At 7:50 we crossed the toll plaza on old Murree road, after 2 hours drive we reached at Dunga Gali. we stopped for a quick 10 minute break.
From Dunga Gali after 30 minutes drive towards Abottabad there wasa sign board of Samandar katha Lake (that is 5 KM away from that sign board) Road name is Bagh Karlan Road.
we parked our car as we don't want to broke it. we hired a Suzuki bolan to the lake.(3 km had a carpeted road with small patches and last 2 km was with no road and all 5 kms were narrow single lane track).
In 25 minutes we reached at lake. Yes it was beautiful lake but it is very small in size. Boating and zip line activities were available there to enjoy it.
Spending almost 1 hour had refreshment over-there and Left lake at 12:00 PM, within 45 min we back on the point where we parked our car.
Now took a u-turn and move towards Dunga gali for Lunch and tracking.
After Namaz and Lunch (at Hotel Snow Land and Lahori Chaska Center), we started Pipeline Track at 2:30 and finish it at 5:00 PM at Dunga Gali (Round-Trip).
It was time for the Evening Tea. and There were clouds on the peaks of nearby so we spent 45 minutes to enjoy fresh cloudy evening of the Dunga gali.
Ignition on at 5:45, and with a small break at Chara pani for Tea, we reached Islamabad at 9:45.
