Shabby comment. I don't protest the nationality but the individual and i'm sure many will agree with me. If you lived in a multicultural society like India where cross national marriages are quite common, you will not have such views. One of my neighbors in the apartment building here in Chennai are Bora Muslims, the husband is Indian and the wife is from Bangladesh, recently wed. Both strongly root for their respective countries but are a happily married couple. Many are such marriages across the Indian and South Asian diaspora. Even the famed malaysian nationalist Mahathir Mohammed traces his paternal ancestry to South India(father is Indian Muslim).Various nationals from Indonesia(Bali mainly) , Malaysia, Singapore and other South-East Asian countries are married to Indians and are living in India. It is the diaspora effect and nothing we can do about it.
This is Sania's choice and i wish her well. That's all there is to it. She has attempted to mollify those Indians who hold views like yourself by living in a neutral venue and asserting that her identity as an Indian is as important as the man she marries and her profession, which is appreciated here. My own take is that it is another publicity stunt. Time will tell.
Already this news has generated lots of gossip/interest/publicity. Just like the doctor ordered. lolzzz
