Can't swap it. The car would have to go through test's to have the engine number changed on the Registration book.

I'm thinking of selling this car and go for a Cultus 2005/6.. Budget would be around 525k
What mileage does Cultus give on petrol since CNG is not available half of the time.

btw dont sale it,u'l hate the drive of cultus (if u ever drove ea well kept santro).ive kept each and every hatch avlabl in market under 1000cc categry and i term santro and old vitz best among all.cultus is a crap specially the carby one.

There is a strange noise coming from the engine like 'Tuk tuk tuk' continuously,it disappear's once the car is moving or is reved and reappears when the foot is taken of the accelerator.
Can you please help me identify the problem?
A mechanic told me that one of the piston is bent thus the noise comes :S

I sold the car last year with the engine in the same condition. The new owner had the ring piston work done. The pistons were replaced.. The car is soundless now and is serving the new owner well

Hi Guys,
Need ur suggestions based on your experiences and expertise as I am a beginner here.
I own a santro 2004 exec model and I am facing the oil burning issue. car is giving smoke and engine oil consumption is very high. Most probably the ring piston/ valve seal issue. Overall car performance is good. no missing issue, no such noiceable loss of power etc. car is driven and maintained carefuly so i dont think engine parts condition is much bad.
A friend of mine suggested to try "liqui moly smoke oil stop additive" for temporarily resolution of this prolem a bit and to drive 6 to 8 months more before going for some mechanical work.
Please suggest what should i do?
1. Try the oil additive and run it for few more months untill it become neccesary to get some mechanical work done.
2. Just get the ring piston/valve seals work done.
3. Or to go for a full engine overhaul?

if u can refer a santro expert mechanic. and expected cost of option 2 and 3.
