Those engine which r overhauled 3 to 4 time need replacement.
Unless your car pistons ,sleeves and crunk is OK no need to replace it.

Hy everyone! Socially Santro specialists! I have Santro club 2006 model & I am having several issues in its engine which are listed below.
1: crankshaft which is a bit cracked which causes play in timing pully so for now my mechanic put a piece of iron in that for reducing the gap & play in timing pully to balance timing. (This has been done for second time in 3 months)
2: head was repaired from previous owner which cases tappets to get lose after a month. I have got them adjusted 3 times in 3 months. This time mechanic put Double nuts & tightened them very well. As per mechanic my head has studs which causes the screws to get losed & tappets as well. (As per my mechanic head assembly needs replacement as in repairing he again needs to put studs which may have same issue again)
3: in the early morning when I start my car for first 2 minutes I got blue smoke from engine in a very very less quantity which can only be identified by standing far away from car.

Now I have discussed all scanerio with my mechanic he says you need to replace your engine with KIA PICANTO's engine 1100cc but not with Santro's own engine as they are difficult to find. I need suggestion from experts either I should go for replacement or is there any solution to repair my existing engine & what will be the cost for that. Please note that my car doesn't reduce oil and after tappet & timing setting it's pick is perfect while engine is also soundless.

As per mechanic he will buy this engine for only 4k to 5k while kabli engine will be given in 55k.

Please check as I have heard that the brand new KIA picanto does not give good mileage.

so please check up this point before buying picanto engine

wagon R engine would be better if you could fit it
