The 356 type A is a masterpiece, as is every other Porsche really. I wish they had a white 959 on display instead of the silver one though. Classic Porsches always strike the right chord with me, especially considering my endeavour to "collect them all" (in 1:18 of course).

Bombaywalla I'm not familiar with old Porches, but I think this looks very similar to the 1:18 you have posted.(I took these pictures some time ago at a Cars & Coffee event in Virginia)

^^ that does indeed look like a modded(?) 356 Type A. If only I had the money to buy a 1:1. Sigh.

From the looks of it, it does look modified. Notice the window is one solid piece on the real thing while on the 1:18 the front part of the window is divided by a metal frame.

Furthermore, the lack of side view mirrors on the 1:18.

Other than few minor details, looks VERY similar.
