The Nissan Evalia was formally launched in market today at a starting price of Rs 8.48lacs ex-showroom. More features, new cars and less discounts mark September as we head into the all important festive season which is the volume season for car makers here. October through November is going to see atleast ten new cars entering the market and Autocar(India) website has a spearate thread listing out the new entries. Chevy's SAIL siblings will hit the market in October too.

October discounts and promos slowly trickling in. A BIG month for GM in our land with the launch of the redesigned Spark, brand new SAIL hatch and sedan and the Enjoy minivan this season. Also, the all new Alto 800 will be launched on Oct16. Many more cars will be launched during this season and i'll try to cover all of them as time permits.

Official photos of the all new 2012 Chevy SAIL U-VA released to the press by GM(India) today. This car will replace the Aveo U-VA hatchback in the lineup here. I will feature this car in my 'local view' thread later this month once it is in the showrooms.Price is expected to be in the 4.5-6.5lac range for petrol and diesel engine options.
