Fuel consumption is nearly same

suppose u get 2 km per litre more on city than civic (i bet u can't get more)
then at the current rate of petrol if u drive 1500 km avg per month, u only save apprx. Rs. 2000

My dear this 2000 more is nothing as compared to the enjoyment nd comfort level u will get from Civic (Eagle Eyes)

I m just giving n explaining my opinion. Other fellows may differ. Choice is urs..

Corolla X or even G grade is easily available for around 1.2M even touchup Axio 2006 are available but AXIO is 1.5L 1NZ-FE and no CNG so its the most flop JDM imported Corolla ever.

I would suggest you to go for Civic Reborn 2006 vti manual and you would love the ride quality and comfort, my elder bro gets 13-13.5km/l in intercity with thorough proper maintainence, try to get a vehicle with 3S maintained history and you would love it.

Dont get worried about engine capacity it just makes a little difference, for instance I am getting 13.5 in intercity from my Honda Civic EXi manual 2003, 175k driven with thoruoghly Honda 3S maintained and I easily get 8-8.5km/l from my 1989 HJ60, 3980 cc, inline six diesel, non turbo, 5-spd manual and 10km/l on highway at a speed of 100km/h abnd its too good considering its weight, tire size and aerodynamics of a brick.

Fuel consumption matter wrt engine capacity but not directly proportional.

I am also looking for a civic. Are you driving an auto or manual? Confused whether to go for cost effective manual on CNG, or to go for a prosmatic which is a pleasure to drive but heavy on pocket, as I had a 2003 civic back in 2006!

More than happy wid it,,,Love its drive.

Used Corolla Altis 06, Corolla 1.6 Gli 1999, Corolla Altis 2012, Civic Reborn 2011

In my personal opinion 04/05 tops above all.
Please note that i m very conscious about cars in regard to (Driving nd Comfort)
Nd i m talking about these two factors particularly. This model gives me driving pleasure more than any of above mentioned cars.

Consider all options nd make a decision urself.

A nissan sunny, foreign assembled with the highest options in it's price segment (e.g. air bag), built quality that no tin can corolla or honda can come close to, very economical and parts much cheaper then mitsubishi and available easily (unlike the imports )at good outlets in all major cities.

I have also used Civic EXi Prosmatec 2002, from 2006 to 2012, purchased it at 64k petrol driven, installed LandiRenzo with Faber cylinder in 2007 and sold at 125k, its was economical like manual but the downside is that very few owners change its gear oil, and if you dont change gear oil in prosmatec after 40k to 50k kms it does not lasts longer resulting in transmission overhual, and it costs alot, so if you find a prosmatec maintained with history showing gear oil change you may go for it, I am talking about 7th gen.

But the scenario is way different in 8th gen as its prosmatec consumes alot.

2003 VTi Prosmatec sells for 750k and its really old better to increase budget and buy a 5th Gen 2009 Honda City for 1050K much better car and technologically much advance.

I guess the OP is from Islamabad and i highly doubt that he can get 2009 City in 1050K he even can't get clean 7th gen civic in 1050K. When i moved out of Pakistan i sold my Civic 2005 Vti Oriel Manual ISB registered 98K done for 11.6 Lakhs and Altis 2006 for 11 Lakhs and both car's had minor touchings and bumpers sprayed. The best way is then to buy a brand new car and Swift falls in his budget else he should increase lil bit and buy new city standard one.

Can get a lancer 2006/7 in mint condition, would cost less then 9 lacs for even a 1.6 fully loaded, the best drive in it's class with one downside....... the parts are expensive but they last several times then the same one's from other companies so it ain't a bad deal. The biggest peace of mind is, chori nain hotein
