Self Strart installtion in suzuki sprinter 110 cc

i am sorry to dig up such an old thread. but i was looking to get self start for my cg125 and pakwheels search brought up this page. anyone got ifo on it. imran bhai u got any info? it was really amazing to see that sprinter does look like it is missing a bolt on self start system. i will try to contact some mechanics and ask them about it. i would appreciate pakwheeler's views and comments on the subject.

i think it should be more possible now, esp with so many chinese and pakistani bikes that are almost identical to cd70 and cg125 and have self start. i think there should be a bolt on fit for cg125 and cd70. coz so many cd70 and cg125 copies are out there, i dont think those manufacturers actually spend money on R&D and made new engines, i think they are ditto copies with some chinese bolt on self starters

i figured out that Suzuki GS 150 handlebar assemblies are exactly like the ones on sprinter so having the starter button is not an issue
the only problem i m concerned about is that whether or not the sprinter has space over the engine to fit the electric motor and if the battery is powerful enough to power that motor?

If you are really crazy for getting one then its possible, you will end up importing some parts from abroad.

i talked to a recently retired suzuki mechanic (retired from suzuki, he used to work there) he told me the same thing as well!
he said originally the design for the bikes consisted of an electric start system but they removed it to cut down on the price so theoretically it is possible
also found similar engines from suzuki in Philippines and Indonesia which have electric start
so, self start installation is possible but it is going to require a lot of investment

bluez...i have seen chinese kits available and installed on sprinters ...they shouldnt cost you more than 7-800rs...i have also seen remote start kits...like you just press the button on ur keychain and the bike will start...i think its base on radio frequency...they cost like about 12-1400Rs

i just read all the comments. i have a modified yamaha junonn. the day i brought my bike i was crazy to install self-start on it, i e-mailed RAVI PIGGIO and ask them if they can install but no reply than i moved to other modification now i <3 my bike. after reading this thread i m once again crazy abt self start and that would be outstanding if u can start ur bike standing away from it.
i live in LHR, if anyone knows where to find the kit and who can install it than do tell me really appericiate it.

Instead of writing to Ravi Piaggio, write to Yamaha corp. Japan. Ask them to kindly provide required parts and their cost for installing self starter in your Yamaha Junoon. In Indonesia and philipines the same engine is available in underbone bikes/scooters as 110 and 135cc and it does has a self start.

i hv never seen an after mkt self starter on any bike so far ... always saw built-in .. i think its complicated and expensive that's why no one bother to install it .. my previous chonda had self starter with remote control and theft alarm back in 2005 ... people used to get shocked back then when i starts my bike without touching it .. lolxx...

Company fittings are always expensive, but i will write a mail to yamaha or DYL. lets see what they say. if it is installed without doing fancy work with engine i mean if there is no harm than i will go for it. because that is pretty cool.

after mkt self starter maybe too expensive and complicated or else someone would hv installed it ... i used my chonda for 7 years ... sold it in last november and self starter was working great never encountered any problem at all ...

Great, it means by caring a self starter can last more but most of the people using self starter remove the cable of the starter and use the kick start.

it doesn't need any maintenance .. at least i hvn't done any ... mostly problem is tiny liquid battery of 70 which ran out of juice pretty quick ... and most people here don't even use horn and indicators ... so they ride with dead or weak battery which is useless for self starter ...

i think u can be set self starter your enjine here this is magnet pics of Suzuki sprinter in back of magnet there is space to set small sprocket and than you should whole which is shown in previous pic and than u buy a small chain and attached in to the back of small sprocket with the electric starter motor with the help of chain when u on switch and try to start electric start motor rotate magnet with the help of small sprocket a pics is example for that when u go all these inner things then u should go for electrician for little wiring to joining self motor with 12 volt battery hope u all understand thanks
