How much ml is your carby cleaner bottle?

The 7CT Carby cleaner i have is 550 ml and it does not give clear instructions about quantity.

Recently, I also purchased UNI-T33C and found it very useful. T33C has temperature measurement probe upto 250 C.

i have a query or a rather a theory.. correct me if am wrong'

if we spray 1/3 carb cleaner into the float vents it will exert upward pressure on the float and may disturb float setting... so one should let the float chamber empty by cutting of fuel from the cng dash switch and then careful spray cleaner in to vents.

the push won't really be that strong to disturb the setting but hey. . one can never be too safe

If I were to go that route I would just empty the float chamber and half-fill it with carb cleaner

the liquid does not have much SG and will not do anything to the float, at most it will "flood" the carby - But you can always cut the fuel supply and fill up the bowl to get it cookin'

With the help of searching key terms in this thread. I connected vacuums properly and tested diaphragms. Please correct me if wrong.

Dashpot connected with 7. It has vacuum at idle only. Dashpot pushes throttle shaft by around 1.5 mm at off engine.

Distributor vacuum advance connected to 8. It has no vacuum at idle and high vacuum at high rpms.

Hot idle bypass connected to 10. No vacuum at idle but normal vacuum at high rpms.

Hot idle bypass is leaked. I can suck air in cold engine too. Can I clean its passages with carby cleaner?. It was left open so dust maybe stuck in it.

Edit: do we need hot idle bypass for CNG?

There are 4 hat type diaphrames on carby. All of them are called dashpots? or any specific of em?
Can you show me full pictures? which dashpot is connevted to wot?

You need to use ''SEARCH'' function of this thread. Search dashpot, vacuum etc like I did and you will get your desired information.

dashpot = slow release system, it also has a little valve in the vacuum line, all the other bits are called vacuum pods and are described by their functions.

My car isnt stabilizing on slow when running. When standing stayionary, it stabalize. But on drive, whenever i got slow, it turns off. RPM seeems good when standing still. No sign of stalling. Any specific reason?

probably the dashpot is not connected properly.

you should see a lever on the carb move when the cable is pulled and then slowly come back when the cable is released

I cleaned PCV valve with carburetor cleaner. Suction test revealed that it is one side valve. In Normal suction, air flows with restriction. But It closes with a little high pressure suction. Is it ok?

It also rattles. But after installation, pcv valve has vacuum both at low and high rpms. Cng performance got sluggish. Is this pcv valve faulty?.
Blowby is normal at idle and very less at high rpms.

Your PCV is Ok. Adjust CNG setting.

its just fuel residue seeping out from the plunger boot.. its mostly seen in fuel from caltex

I buy fuel from Total only. Btw this reminds me.....where is the fuel filter located? I think i should replace it so where can i find an original one? What brand does it sell under?

The carb cleaner i bought is 450ml. Brand: 4-X carb and choke cleaner.

To empty the float chamber, will you remove the fuel pipe entering the carb? When i cleaned the carb i switched from float vents to throat to choke plate i.e i didn't clean them one at a time. I followed this sequence repeatedly until the carb cleaner bottle was almost finshed.

start the car and run it till it runs out of fuel..

fill the chamber with carb cleaner
