While driving your manifold is the best source to mechanically tell what kind of loads are you placing on the engine, and the distributor advances appropriately to help the centrifugal advance while driving to help the engine accelerate quickly.

I dont understand the term/things in bold. Can you plz elaborate in a bit of layman terms.

the manifold is inlet manifold - and when driving along you notice that is takes longer to accelerate your engine rather than free revving it.

The vacuum advance takes vacuum from the manifold and pulls the signal plate to advance - and depending on accelerator position and engine rpm the vacuum in the manifold increases or decreses automtically adjusting the plate itself. e.g. cruising along at slight throttle at high speeds will cause high vacuum in the manifold, pulling in the vacuum advance for better fuel economy and instant response. The centrifugal advance is solely rpm dependant and does not care if you are lugging your engine or just cruising along.. while full throttle will obviously mean no vacuum but high rpms in which the centrifugal advance plays role. The vacuum one will play role when you change gear and let go of the accelerator

I am facing two problems in my Khyber
The first problem is that when I press the accelerator of my car, sometimes it does not come back. It is very dangerous from braking point of view. I have to open the bonnet and release that lever which is below air filter element. That lever is connected to the wire of accelerator. What can be the problem and how it can be solved?

The second problem is that when I start my car, it throws water from its silencer. The engine is giving a lot of vibrations. I also observed that water level in radiator also becomes low. Like one liter in a week or so. Although I can't see water leaking any where from the radiator. Replaced radiator cap a month ago. Radiator serviced from Kaalia from Chah Sultan, two weeks ago.

For Problem No.1
Accelerator cable is torn from inside and is causing the resistance. Replace your accelerator cable, should cost you around Rs. 400/-. It is very risky to drive with this issue, get a new cable ASAP.

For Problem No. 2

DONT worry, The water coming out of the silencer is not from the radiator. Its a good sign meaning your car's emissions are under control.
I am assuming your car has no over heating issues and the head gasket is intact. There might be a minor leak from where just steam is escaping or your new radiator cap is not good enough (how much did you paid for it).whats the status of coolant level in the reserve bottle? Also check the lid and top of the reserve coolant bottle (beside the battery) for arrow signs like this ><. If they are not facing each other then remove the rubber pipes rotate the lid and fix the pipes in order.

I bought the radiator cap for 250 Rs from Waseem Autos. He said that it is genuine and Japanese. Yes the car does not have over heating issues. The reserve bottle nearly empties every week, but the level in radiator remains full, but I think it must be the radiator which pulls water from it. I guess that the lid of reserve bottle is OK.

The radiator cap looks good and is also functioning well(not letting radiator water and pulling water in from the reserve). You also stated that the reserve bottle's lid is properly connected.
After all the above there are only two possibilities left,
1. A very minor leak in the cooling system.
2. Weak head gasket.

Get it checked from a mechanic for the above mentioned possibilities.

Actually my Khyber does not run well on petrol and I want to restore its petrol. I took it to a mechanic, he removed the air-cleaner assembly. Carb was very dirty. He told its of no use to clean carb only, we must start from fuel tank and clean the complete channel through which petrol flows.
I think carb cleaning as a DIY is very risky, however I can clean fuel tank and fuel lines and change fuel filter on my own and then get carb serviced by some mechanic. (any one who knows a carb expert in pindi/islamabad?)

Before going ahead with fuel tank servicing , remove the fuel pipe from the pump which is going to the CNG switch , put it in 1.5 litre clear bottle and start the car the pump will fill the bottle in a minute, turn off the engine before it spills. the thing to notice is fuel, is it clean or it has residues. place the bottle somewhere for 15 minutes or so, and then look for particles in the bottom of the bottle. if its clean then , No need to service the fuel tank and lines, as they are ok.

I did try to service the carb as DIY once and ended up messing it all up It was then even hard for the expert to get it work as I misplaced a very small spring while I assembled it.

So better go to good carb service guy, members from RWP/ISL please guide in this regard.

Another thing, my parking light in right head light was broken and for that I tried to remove head light for repairing. I could not find screws of head light. I think some screws are under the fender, means side fender has to be removed first and then head light will come out. Is it?

Ijaz Bhai...I have notice you have quite the knowledge about cars. I called you too..and would like to ask you if you know any expert Carburetor in RWP/ISB...my car khyber mostly knocks/jerks when I take my foot off the accelerator....
All electronic components of my car has changed point/cables/plugs/distributor CAP/ Carburetor ButterFLY but problem still exists.
Problem is when I take my foot of the accelerator car knocks/jerks like it is going to go off seems like a problem with carburetor dashpot. Help me out please.

Your cars intake is loosing vacuum at idle meaning its taking air from where it should not. My guess some vacuum port has been left open or the vacuum pipe or connected diaphram is leaking. As far as I remember the head lights are fixed by 3 nuts (Bolts are fixed in the head light back plastic case)in the engine compartment.

Will try to share a pic showing the head light mounting nuts. No need to remove the fender I guess.

last day i went to gujrat for one day trip..i traveled 360 kms for total home to home in 650 ruppess of gas ..kaisa?
gujrat is lyk 160 kms from pindi..i got cylinder filled from rawalpindi n too gujrat,it still had gas..n again i got it refilled it from heera cng gujar khan!
n car still has 100 pressure of gas..tht pretty amazing mileage..
one cylinder worked for lyk 230kms..
80 ke speed,5th gear n all i did was let go the fast movers!

but i had this problem,wen the car was moving,it was all stable n temp needle was on good position whr auto fans kicks in,but for lyk 1 hours continous driving,wen i stopped,the car was takin jerks lyk was tryin to go off,so i got out n adjusted the screw of cng kit n it became stable...then it was good ,now i strt the car in morning n then in morning the car again was jerkin so i again adjusted the screw n all got well,n then in after noon wen sun was out,it again takes jerks..

i mean kbi ye jerks nae laiti,n then on next day on very settings,it take jerks?

Today I went to workshop and mechanic told me that your car's accelerator cable is about to brake, so replace it. Same was suggested by @smijaz.
Got new accelerator cable for 450 Rs. The company name is TSK. Its Japanese.
I also got the head gaskit checked, the mechanic said that it is fine.

But one unexpected thing happened today. My car's tuning on CNG was disturbed from last 3,4 days. While tuning, I don't know what he did, the CNG pipe coming from kit and going towards carb, touches the kit and it gave some spark. (There are fine wires on that pipe). As a result, a 20A fuse was fused. He changed the fuse and tuned the car. But when I accelerate the car in 3rd and 4th gear, it used to slow down. The car was not exceeding 70 Km/hr speed. I returned to him, tuned the car for 2,3 times more but same result. After sometime, the car totally gave up on CNG, it used to start but could not accelerate, I converted the car to petrol and then I went to CNG workshop near Khana Pul. That guy is really very experienced. He checked the kit and said that its coil has burnt. Its a black circular type of device which gives the required amount of CNG to engine. Changed the new coil (Original Landi Renzo) for 850 Rs, plus 100 Rs labour. Total 950 Rs :(:(
Now the car is giving very good response on CNG even in 5th gear.
I don't know that the coil burned due to its old age or it was burnt by mechanic.

the air cleaner is clean xulifiqar cuz wen it was doin this goofy things,i first chkd the air fikter..its less than one month used n is clean as new..i mean almost new!
