regarding AC , your two fan at condenser theory is very practical and helps a lot in reducing discharge temperature and pressure thus reducing the risk of leakage and better cooling at the evaporator side.

If you are using sanden or success compressor try the swift pully swap it help in increasing mileage and reducing overheating.

There is no cabin air filter in khyber.

Khyber has R12 based system. Dont use R134a in khyber insist on R12 its 20% cooler than R134a BUT R12 is banned coz its poisonous and can be lethal if leaked inside the closed cabin of the car. so be careful about the leaks.

When engine is cold (coolant temperature 15 C to 25 C) adjust as

Inlet 0.006 inch
Outlet 0.008 inch

When engine is hot (Coolant temp >60) adjust as

Inlet 0.009 inch
Outlet 0.011 inch

Its called the main crankshaft pulley (double) of old swift.
About its worth, Well, it depends , as you have an additional condenser fan, so the discharge pressure will stay within limits therefore less load on compressor and subsequently engine too.

But adding that small dia pulley will further reduce the ac load from the engine so noticeable increase in engine pick on AC.

i mean y not to adjust them once for lyk on both hot and cold engines???

n i wana get all ac cleaned and serviced with all new gas...wat shud b approx cost???

oh.. no, you misunderstood...

you have to adjust them once , the thing is that if you are adjusting while the engine is hot then set according to hot and if the engine is cold adjust accordingly.

if you are setting a cold engine you set the valve lash clearance low (0.006/0.008) . to understand the fact, Start the car for 5 to 10 minutes or until the auto radiator fan kicks in, turn off the engine then check the clearance immediately, it will now be 0.009/0.011.

This is due to thermal expansion of different metals in the engine head... I hope you got the point.

The ac technician connects the pressure gauge to the low pressure side (cold) and checks the pressure in the system. The pressure should be in the range of 35 to 45 psi (no more , no less) with a/c on.

Cost of ac service with gas charging varies from shop to shop but usually you will get a rate of 2500 (1000 labour + 1500 gas) and if your drier (filter) needs replacement it will cost you 1200 for genuine (recommended) and 450 for the other.

Note: the rates given above are approx and as of May 2010.

Hi dosto...I want to gain a knowledge from all of u..regarding my My car Toyota Corolla 2000.

My car is on petrol no CNG installed,my car is missing on high RPM,
starting is fit.when i move it in a first gear with moving to 2nd and 3rd gear, with increasing it's speed,increasing RPM, It misses or juggles after then streamlines,then when i pushes more RPM it misses and then move streamline, After 15 min of drive the car became fit as if this missing problem never happens.Its mean that it misses when the engine is cool..
So i dont know that whether I should change its plug wires? or what as I have putt new plugs NGk in it ,and also tunned from my mechanic,but the problem persists, Now my mechanic is saying that there is a problem of Cylinder Head.I said sorry,U can't open the engine,it's risky....I changes my car's oil and air filter on regular basis.
Please dosto tell me the solution...

The drier needs replacement after 50K kms (4 seasons/years). the local one should be changed after 20K. To check, the technician removes it from the car and shake it. if there is a rock like thing inside it then its chocked.

There is no need to clean the condenser from inside until and unless your compressor has seized and pushed fine metal pieces and other contaminants through the whole system. in this case you need to get the complete system flushed.

I am no expert on rollas but the problem seems to be the plug wires as bad wires miss on high RPMs. I am not sure whether corolla 2000 have tappets or not, if they do get them checked.

Nope drier has no relation with air throw , less air throw is due to clogged evaporator, chocked blower fins , blower motor is not up to speed.

The function of drier is to absorb moisture from the refrigerant before it goes to evaporator.
