Yes, i dont want that but in my case there is NO noise/interference in car's radio or amp on engine acceleration/deceleration. This noise over the car's stereo usually shows RF interference/noise from non suppressor type wires or damaged ones. The ones i am using shows they are capable of suppressing noise.

So am I safe?

Smell at CNG stations is normal. If you smell it after leaving the station, then it can be a leak.

btw what are the pressures at the nazimabaad stations and at the one you usually fill from...

Engine foundations broke again!!! Local made... they were working hard to transfer a lot of vibrations to my dash, so they gave up...

Few months back i checked for the kabli used foundations from sultan khu. He was asking 1000 for one foundation(front mount). Anyone have an experience, what is the justified price for it. I need both front and back mounts.

Before i went for getting used PCV from the same market, guy was asking 400 but i gave reference of "cracked" that he has got it from the same shop for 200, so he gave it to me in 200.

If you could find the following two brands in Islamabad/Pindi then buy these, I have used these in a few khybers (mine and friends') works fine

These are not local,are they? Is Bridgestone sign due to the rubber material provided by bridgestone? Just a guess...

I am facing starter problem in morning. It often does tuk tuk but no cranking, after three or four tries it works. Battery is new and has no issues, charging mechanism is also fine. I think starter or its solenoid is to be serviced.
Advice from khyber experts is needed in this matter.
How is starter removed? What will be the step by step procedure to take it out of the car.
I want to get it out of the car myself and then get it serviced from some electrician.
I don't want any electrician/mechanic touch my car

Thats the spirit... But electrician will only remove the starter unit from your car and will not cut and tape your wires.

Wont it be better that you do a complete DIY. Experts can help.

^^^Thanks for the reply. But the problem is that I am not sure how to take starter out. The service manual has explained the details of servicing the starter but no info how to remove it from the car
I think I have to remove intake manifold and associated parts to access the starting motor.
Waiting for experts opinion ...

yup..starter motor is at very awkward position to work on :p..i remember once i had it repaired,repairing time was like 5 minutes and taking it out and putting it back was like 30-40 minutes job

the starter is a little awkward, but can be done from under the car - if you are careful not to burn your arms on the exhaust pipe.

The risk of collateral damage is too high when the ustad's chela is at work. And it is always the chelas who do the removal / dismantling.

Well about the starter motor in khyber. It is fixed only by two 12mm bolts/studs through the gear box. there are two wires connected , one is to the solenoid and other is main 12v from the battery.

To remove it you need to remove the air cleaner, remove the electrical connections (remove the battery -ve terminal first), remove the two bolts (one beneath the metal pipe going to water body is tricky) and pull it out from speedo cable side between the intake manifold and gear box.

You may need to remove heater pipes or the upper radiator hose for convenience but it can be done without it.

can anyone tell me the length of khyber's mixture screw? i have bought new one but not sure if its of same length.. the old one was not genuine either so cant compare it with that one..anyone can show picture of mixture screw will be highly appreciated!

the length and seat of the mixture screw is a double edged sword, how - let me explain, The screw butts into a conical seat which is precision machined, our mechanics SO LOVE TO EFF IT UP, I dont know why though - the screw is supposed to be tightened till it butts on the seat very slightly and then backed off.

If your mechanic has applied force on the screw the seat maybe galled out, Ive seen that happen (Honda civic carb) - I had to replace the throttle blades portion of it to correct it, So inspect what is wrong then replace the screw (its not a wear item though) Most cases for high consumption or bad idle are due to bad float level or bad emulsification in the carb.

the lower part of my car's carb was replaced with kabli one..
but the upper part is old car's..and the mixture screw goes in upper portion i guess
so thing is the mixture screw is tightened fully,i mean just i guess half rotation backed from full tight..if losen any further,car strts to throw a little black smoke.and further you lose,more black smoke..
petrol avg is improving and idle is perfect,no jerks on drive or on idle
the problem is thru internet,ive came to know that the mixture screw must be backed 2 and half rotation from fully tight location!
float was set accordingly to car's manual,i.e 7MM
avg is not good but not to bad either,its liek giving 10-11 on local,i think it can go to 15-16..
cng mileage is awesome,and car runs equally smooth on cng.giving me aroung 160 per cylinder(50KG)
