My family owns a suzuki khyber 99 model since 6 years. My father says he never got the File from the seller but he has transferred the car in his name as i can see in the registration book. Now i want to sell the car and now that i discuss with my father he says this is the third car he is buying or selling without any File so he never knew about the file. The car registration city is Rahim Yar Khan. Now what are my options. Can i sell the car without any depreciation in cost? If not, how can i get the File? Please guide.

goto respective registration office with documents in possession, and request for file return.
you need to visit RYK ETO , original file is in their custody.
If the file has been returned to owner its stamped on the book, original file returned to owner. First see if your book has that stamp. Most probably it will not. In that case as suggested by other member go to your local Excise department and check with them. Alternatively you can ask a local agent there to do this for you. I once bought a charade who file was not with the owner. But before buying I checked it at the ETO and it was located. Later when I transferred the car to my name file was handed over to me and a new book issued with stamp original file returned to owner.
