You ever seen the leather on an W140 benz? - that is leather - exposed leather too, you can unstich it and remove the backer and see for yourself. Its beauty is that because its leather you will not find another piece with the same grain either (even on the same car)
The material on any of the AHL car seats is textured leatherrete at best - that too extremely hard as cardboard, Take apart the seat covers and undo them to see what they are.
A very long time ago I priced out finished hide for redoing a mercedes benz W126 interior - The material cost was into 6 figures, the tailoring and fitting etc was separate. - This was more than a decade ago in Karachi. Has leather become cheaper since the last 10 years?
does Honda prove it to you its leather? - Or do they go the typical Pakistani snobbish way of "leni hai to lau warna time zaya nahi karo"
On another note - I drive a W210 benz and it has leather seats - they are plastic coated leather, the first model to have it too - very easy to clean. You can see a MB with exact similar seats and find them to be vinyl, MB textured vinyl is very durable and tough (better than leather IMO for a car) and looks like leather, the centre pleated pieces are the giveaway for its material.
Very famous for those vinyl seats are the old 123 and 124 models - this was also the reason that general public in Pakistan thought that all MB come with leather seats.
