1- you will not find proper porters or guides as you find in shimshal or other areas of Gilgit Baltistan. People from Kel told us that we will find porters from upper domail but we didn't. It is necessary to talk to some experienced porter or guide in Azad kashmir before hand. If not, then take men with you from Kel.
2- you won't find any woods to light fire for cooking purposes or to warm your bodies. take gas cylinders!
3- Weather in unpredictable of this area, never forget to keep raincoats with you.
4- do check your camps that they do not leak any rain water no matter at what angle you fix your camp.
5- ice axe is a must. cuz couple of sections are too steep and slippery. if you don't have any ice axe, you still can climb those sections but it would be a serious threat to life.
6- Keep a lot of medicines with you especially for Altitude sickness. cuz one feels the height sickness cuz you most probably will ascend almost 1800 meters of height in one or two days!
7- keep water purifier tablets.
8- use high altitude sunblocks to avoid any sun burn.
9- keep sun glasses.
8- MOST IMPORTANT. there is a very high possibility that you won't find any jeep or any vehicle from Mir Malik, where trek is supposed to end. Some locals told us that on a very lucky day, jeeps come at a place named Showdas which is between Chandwali and Mir Malik. but most of the days, they dont. Then you have to trek to Mir Malik. and from Mir Malik, its again your luck weather you find a jeep or not. If not, either make your camp at Mir Malik. and next day, trek to Rattu and find a jeep. This is a thing that you cannot control, its your luck. we found one from Mir Malik.
