thanks man.
There is a group of people called Bakarwals, who come from different parts of Punjab and Kashmir along with their families, their goats, horses, mules and all necessary stuff of daily use and they cross shounter pass from Upper domail and camp near chandwali and spend rest of the season with their animals there. and when season goes out, in winter, they would get back to cities and sell their goats. especially in lahore and faislabad.
Bakarwals cross shounter pass every year, in June.
If you are lucky, and you find Bakarwals crossing, then you don't need any porters or guides. Bakarwals are the best guides. They carry your all bags, literally all the weight on their mules and take you with them to the other side.
when we reached to cross shounter pass in Upper domail, we were told that few Bakarwals had crossed the pass couple of weeks ago and more groups of them hadn't entered the valley yet.
