no body would go for a shoqiya showering off a car. "pesse lagte hain bhae". so probably its full of scrates i.e minor denting. or accidents. that surly states its been used roughly.

if a car is completely showered then you should be a bit alarmed...if only rear or front bumpers are repainted then its not a big deal...

i second usman...in lahore..its impossible to keep ur car total genuine...if u dont hit smone..one wuld come and hit u.....car's engine shuld be in awesome condition..baki sab chalta hai

if u can spend, you can get the same look in a repainted/ showered car.. depends on where u get the car showered and the quality of paint used

The term is repaint. Why are you calling it showered? Shower means to wash. What an absolutely stupid term invented by dealers. Please stop using it because you're making a fool of your self sounding like these uneducated 'dealers'. Yes I shower my car daily.

Secondly there's nothing wrong with a REPAINTED car. As long as the car is mechanically sound and hasn't been through a major accident where it had to be put back together after being carried in bags to the body shop.

I own a fully showered car from outside and i knew that while i was buying it. Didn't troubled me as it is 15 yrs old model:P
You just need to assure that it is not major accidented.

Outside Shower Non-accidented for a 10 or 15 year old car doesn't matter much, however it does matter for new models that are less than 5 to 8 yrs old

What the thing is if you are going for a repainted car 2 two things to be kept in mind

Roof should be genuine
No major accidents

Then if car is nicely redone and exceptionally clean then u can go for that car

Resale does matters in repainted car but if roof is genuine and no major accidents then u can have better resale value as compared to wholly painted car

Don't agree with you. There is a major difference between repainting a car and showering. Repainting means scratching the old paint altogether and applying the fresh paint, it costs you , showering is just spraying the same paint to give it a fresher look, ie, in repaint you can change car color if you wish but not in showering. Am I right?

Showering is not a term used in automotive paint practices. Please find a description of the practice you're mentioning anywhere online; or reference to it as a "good thing" done frequently and I'll eat my hat.

Secondly-- what you're saying would result in a crap paint job which would wear off in a month. Giving it a fresh look? Please thats' a joke; it would look horrid. Any professional painter who knows what he is doing will sand down the paint first. Heck even a monkey pretending to be a painter would do the same.

"Showering" it like you've mentioned would not allow the paint to bond well to the surface because of the clear coating. Please go research this and automotive paint properly. The paint would FLAKE off very soon.

What you're saying could probably be practiced here; as its Pakistan but I'm sure they mean shower in the sense of a repaint.

our dealers are just #$@#$%@ offs they will sell u a accidental car and when they see ur ride even its original color they will say its showered and crap etc
firstly i don't like to sell my car but i have to go to dealers area because my friend lives in that area even had an argument with a dealer that what ever you say about my car i won't sell it so back off

car is either repainted(completely or some parts) or not. Word Showered is used just to reduce the impact of one gets in mind with the word repaint.
Make a rule of thumb
"Paint can never ever stick to the previous paint whether it is a car or a wall of a building. paint requires surface preparation first."
Saying that paint is done for scratch removal is just a useless comment.
Either paint is done for removing scratches or after some denting, both have 100% same procedure.
