I couldn't believe that we were there, as before leaving karachi, I was very afraid for the road trip as this was my first road trip with family.
I am sharing this thread, because anyone can plan road trip with your family, and it provides very good opportunity to spare quality time with them.
Naturally, ap ko dar lagta hia, k itna lamaba safar hai, kahen car kharab na ho jaye, and so on.
Simply, bus ap apni car check karwaein, tyres agar change karnay hain to woh karaein, engine oil change, oil filter, air filter, use coolant (specially if you are going in winter) almost all coolants are Anti frozen. I used ZIC coolant, its quite expensive tough. 
Second, try to travel in day time. Taky agar kisi chez ki zarorat pary to support mil saky. Leave early so that you can reach around magrib. 
Third, and most important tip for road trip, Rasta enjoy karein, drive enjoy karein, ap ko kahen ponchna nahi hai. This mindset is very important. See agar ap manzil pay ponch jaeingay to adventure bhi khatam ho jayeyga. 
Last but not least, stay in your speed limit, its good for you and others.
