Software Availability in Lahore

My dad is going to leave for Lahore on Thursday, and he asked me if I wanted him to bring back anything for me. I remembered how cheap CD's and DVD's are in Pakistan, so I am asking you if I can get software CD's from Lahore, and if so which shop.

I want the following softwares:

-Windows Vista
-Photoshop CS3
-Different Types of Anti-Virus
-Music Mixing Software

Can anyone please tell me if these are available, and how much theyy are, and most importantly, do they actualy work fully, and do they come with the FULL software and serial numbers?

ask your dad to visit hazeef center. he'll find all these plus many more

I think currently its Rs50 per CD and around 70-80 per dvd.

I did download Windows Vista, and it's installed and working, but now it says i have 24 days to acticvate, or windows will stop working. I dont have a serial number, so does anyone know wat i should do?

vista is more secure n reliable than any previous versions of windows..but unfortunately its the worst nightmare for slow PCs

I learned that the hard way.

I only have 512 MB RAM, so im still thinking about going back to Windows XP

Vista is mostly just good for looks, otherwise XP is good for me

But im still going to try that link

Vista really sucks,
on Vista the games which run smoothly on ULTRA HIGH graphics are not running smoothly even with medium graphics

considering that you are in USA, getting busted on customs in possession of pirated material will run you into fines which wont be covered even after mortgaging all property.

Dont comment on vista unless you know what is it. Ignorance is a wide spread disease on PW. Vista is version 6 of NT kernal. Nothing is perfected in software when first released. People held similar views about XP how ever 5 years later the very same people are die hard of XP against Vista. A rule of thumb for operating system upgrades is to wait till SP1 or at least pre-SP level patches and bug fixes.

Also the hardware needed to run vista will be much cheaper and affordable by the time its SP1 is released. MS started working on Vista SP1 even before releasing Vista officially indicates there were problem destined to users. Just that people are too stupid to realize and complaining is always easier.
