It is peak near Ali Malik Pass.. This peak is called Ali Malik Peak, K-2 can be seen. He told that a lot of people go to this peak. some one hour trek. Information provided by the contractor of Deosai Road resident of Sadpara Village.

An analysis..

I placed a mark on the K-2 top and add a distance line between the K-2 top and Ali Malik Peak... and made a 3D standing at Ali Malik Peak (16000+ feet ASL) towards K-2.

Due to google earth max limit of seeing in distance, though K-2 is not showing but the Red Mark at K-2 Top is seeing... Aagay ap next visit pa confirm kar laina.. or some other PWheelers can do confirm...

I want a thread to be started, in which the pics of an area from another can been shown. e.g. kashmir Hills from Murree, Murree from Islamabad, Rawal Dam from murree etc....

cant give u real coordinates but about one and a half days trek from ali malik is burji la, the only place in deosai from where k 2 is visible.. as seen by gypsy devy and mustansar hussain tarrar...

on the opposite side of burji la is bari la, it is also high about 17000ft but k2 cant be seen from there..

iqbal top is a trek of 3 days from kandey, a place in way to hushe...

K-2 can be seen from numerous place, I believe. But known and accessible places are few.

One is Rush Phari Peak near Rush Lake. Another is Humbrok Village. Humbrok nestles in a side valley high above the Hushe River west of Hush.

Yes concordia is my dream... Inshallah... in some near future... but need budget, leaves, fitness, preparations....

Asal tou concordia say nazar aati ha.. But by the way, you must be lucky to see K-2 even when you are at concordia.... clouds might hide...

A local taxi driver told me that a lake near Jaglot.. Might be this is that lake. He was telling Chakarkot Lake

Gasho Lake
Gasho Lake Alpine Wetland situated in Sai-bala valley of Gilgit district on N 35 42’ 440” Latitude and E 74 24’ 535” Longitude at an elevation of 9440 feet. The lake is feed by perennial streams of Gasho and tutang-bari/ Shora-gah streams (nullahs). A dense forest of Kail and Spruce mixed with Juniper is situated around the lake. On one side of lake local right holders develop Agricultural land and shepherds huts, as we move ahead a small village namely “Gasho village” be situated, where mostly Gujars are inhabitant.
