Ya its my dream.. But for K-2, a lot of preparation, himmat leaves, budget required. more fitness required...

I also need much more trekking.. to attempt Concordia..

So this plan is pending till few years...

Yup; a lot of preparations, logistics and determination required; though altitude gains every day are not that killing as advised by the people who have been there.

Above all one has to cope with blackmailing by porters along the trek, something that is hard to digest.

i have done K2 Ghondogro La trek last year (Alhamdulillah). its a llong trek and u definitly need a lot of experience in trekking for that. i attempet after 4 years of trekking......
Altitude is also a problem as altitude sickness is common on the boltoro glacier.

and yes cordinating and managing the guides and porters is the biggest menace there.......

Fairy Meadow - Day-10 25.07.2011

The day started with a refreshing morning.. Nanga parbat was visible from the pillow...

We took shower, breakfast. we were fresh after a full sleep.

Then we headed to Bayal Camp.. The way to Bayal camp is very beautiful. The local carpenters were working there for making wooden cabins... Streams were on the go.

A portion of the trek was very narrow, scary. I preferred to go back instead of going ahead. (My shoes were also not good trekking shoes these were Digger though tested at Meeran Jani)

The group continued to Bayal.. I returned to Fairy meadow. visited Fairy Meadow lake. fantoori.. and also rest kia

Fazal told us the story how he became land maufia and how he grabbed the land for this hotel..

In evening.. the group returned... we had also chat with some other people arrived there. Then had a campfire... and slept...

So the day end...

Road to Fairy Meadows is really dangerous.
I was surfing on net and saw some foreigners threads with a bad incident.

This is the pet bakra of the hotel owner.. he was calling it a markhoor (just a pet name of his goat)

We didn't eat that got.... yes the cattle is small usually there in hilly areas...
