Fairy Meadow Lake and Fantoori

This gate is just behind the Fairy meadow ground and reflection lake. Gate to Fantoori and Fairy Meadow Lake area ... Fantoori is a jungle beautiful... Tarar sb in his safarnama praised it very much... I have heard previously the trek from Tattu to Fairy meadow was via Fantoori....

Very well done Rana Sherdil sb, you are really a nature's lover and adventurous man. I had been going through your thread since yesterday and I concluded some results out of it. Here these are..
1- Since I am imagining myself there because of the detailed narration, I can feel your lonliness with great intensity or it may be my feeling only. I believe that the best gift from the nature are our good companions and peers without whom we feel ourselves incomplete no matter how beautiful place is. So please don't go alone next time.
2- I am feeling that water has a great importance and affinity in our lives. When going through majority of threads I feel people are mostly in search of LAKES in the mountains. I felt it badly when I was on the tour of NARAN. Only the best places to visit were NARAN valley itself and SAIF UL MALOOK because of the combination of people and the natural beauty otherwise you feel scared from this wilderness. Murree is an example of successful tourist spot due to lot of people coming there to visit.
3- Since you belong to Multan, thats why you have great fascination for these green hills, mountains and Lakes. I have been to Multan several time and I miss Islamabad due to lack of these sceneries. Other Multani pakwheelers are showing great intrest as well.
4- NANGA PARBAT is your main inspiration in that area.
This was just my feelings, please don't take any thing personally.

And i must say Gilgit Baltistan Police is Best Police in the whole World
I curse Punjab , Sindh and KP Police and dont consider them humans ( yeah )

Some times i Wondered if Gilgit Baltistan police really belong to Pakistan

1. Yes good companions are gift of Allah and nature to us... But places are still beautiful as they have already there beautiful people. I was honored and helped in my whole tour by the locals. I got their attention while a group can't. I observed local life there very detail. SOLO vs GROUP... it is a controversy. In group you mite be limited to group views.. Group decisions are slow... You have to go with group sometimes even against your some strong will. But groups are still benificial. 2ndly I would like to tell you that I have joined 4 groups during my this whole trip.

1st Group. Mansehra to Naran

2nd Group. Jalkhad to Hunza

3rd Group. Skardu-Deosai-Astore-Raikot

4th Group. Raikot Fairy Meadow-Raikot

At Naltar and Yaseen Valley trip I was just alone... Enjoyed Naltar very much... Naltar is actually my best ever location on the whole trip... 2nd is Hunza... Deosai is out of world, so no sequence of this...

1. Popularity of Murree is just due to near to Islamabad or even people not heard other places.. or they consider all other places very very far... Now due to this rush, mostly people are avoiding murree. I have been to Murree lorry adda more than 10 times during last one year. But just due to this rush, I never tried to go to Mall Road Murree. Its not scary to be in wilderness. We all here are fed-up of rush of cities and want to go some wilderness. I felt first wilderness while my visit to Monal Pir Sohawa in 2004. It was evening and we were two guys. We went there on local transport did the trek of Garani Peak... At that time we don't even know the trekking hiking... At our way back there was no taxi no public transport. So we started on foot... It was so much silence on that road... We really enjoyed this wilderness.... Khair we got a lift and withing 7 minutes we were down...

So its also controversy, some people like rush and some people like wilderness...

1. You are right. Mountains attract me much. before this trip I was attracted by green mountains much like galyat kashmir etc.. Now I tried for dry mountains and snow capped peaks...

2. Nanga Parbat was not included in my previous plan. It was added at the end of the trip. But loved to live 2 nights at Fairy meadow. Where i can see the Nanga Parbat even laying on my bed.

make a new thread, with a name cud be any suitable, which will help people to choose or plan trips, starting from short 2/3 days trips, to long 10-15 days trip, and to cover areas, and tracks, and basecamp etc, many pakwheel gurus, then can share such info, with detail, of how to get there, route, and expense, and dos and donts, etc......
