Is there any specific reason you travel to Faisalabad ? I mean you can reach Rawalpindi directly via train.
Yes but direct Rawalpindi takes just over 24 hours but going to Faisalabad and then by road to Rawalpindi takes 19 to 20 hours...so u save, 4 to 5 hours... That is if the trains leave and reach in time on both instances...the trains going from Karachi to rwp leave late at evening from khi and reach rwp late a night whereas by my route u reach Rawalpindi before noon and can travel further as I personally don't like traveling at night by road....

Please also mention the names of the trains in which you traveled to Faisalabad and which one is better in terms of Ac Sleeper / Business Class / Economy.
I travel via karakoram express because it leaves Karachi at 3:30 and arrives at Faisalabad at about 6:30 in the morning so u can reach Rawalpindi before noon... has only 5 stops Faisalabad is the 4th one so is not very late usually ...i do my solo trips on economy class only which is like any usual economy class train ...depends on your traveling prefrences...
