Im from Wah Cantt, bought it from Chah Sultan Rawalpindi. On Exhaust there are two sensors i believe but yours might have only one.

Which plugs you are using? Coils are fine?

NGK plugs. Yes coils are fine. Mechanic checked them by pulling plug one by one. The plugs were red instead of black. So he said that it doesn’t look like that the car is burning extra fuel.

Fuel pump was changed like 2 years ago. I felt the average went down after that too. But still it was around 10km. But now it’s reducing everyday.
The problems I read occurs with sensor. I am facing them. Like fuel efficiency, delay in everything, unstable rpm etc.

Sounds like at low RPM you have inadequate power/possibly blow by in the motor or a bad brake booster.

Unefficent braking at happens then if brake booster is not creating sufficient cacuum and you implying only happens at low rpm indicates possible lower compression/valve seals gone bad if not the brake booster failing at 7-900 rpm range.

Please have a compression test time. Are you the first owner? What's the total mileage on the car? Since meter reversal is also a common problem here.

You need to get the sensors check also IVAC cleaning and TB servicing as well, there is one sensor on the left side of TB also.

I am 3rd owner. I purchase this car at 120k. Did engine overhaul and changed gear at around 160k. Right now it’s at 188k. Engine is smooth, soundless and powerful condition.

Have changed the brake booster and brake cylinder as well. Earlier this problem was even appearing at idle rpm. My mechanic did a jugar. He added a small cylinder after brake booster so the extra vacuum is stored. After that I rarely face this brake problem when the car is set on 900 idle rpm.

I start facing it again if idle rpm is decreased.

My main concern here is fuel consumption instead of brake problem but its also somehow connected with rpm setting.

Did that a week ago. Throttle body was serviced. All the valves and sensors etc were checked.
Only that air and fuel sensor is needs to be checked. If it comes in this model.

When there is not sufficient vacuum being present in brake booster it will fail to function properly. Adding the extra cylinder sounds like a botched job. For this variant we generally straight off replace with a kabli motor as overhaul for these don’t do well in Pakistan and the price of a kaabli motor is more or less the same for the rebuild. It is very much associated with your rpm as well due to inadequate vacuum that also might be triggering it to be unstable. My advise again is to check for the compression of all four cylinders as well as check if your catalytic needs to be cleaned from carbon build up; what engine oil and grade are you using on the vehicle?

Can you please specify which motor are you referring to replace with kabli? I will be more than happy to look into that.
If you are referring to brake booster, I have already replaced it with Kabli. I have also changed brake cylinder with Kabli
I am using Shell 10W-40.
I have city 2004 Vario local assembled. It doesn’t have the catalytic converter. It also doesn’t have the air fuel regulator sensor.
I will look into checking compression. I am not sure if my guy does that. I haven’t seen or heard anything like it. Can you recommend me a place in Karachi to get it checked?

Engine doesn’t look like it’s weak. It was overhauled 2-3 years back. It was water dropping and ticking. Currently the engine is soundless, powerful acceleration with working limiter. Every mechanic I have visited says that your engine is in amazing condition.
Still will look into compression test possibilities

Have a compression test done since the vacuum issue (For the brake booster) as well as rpm is dependent on it. If it was just unstable or dropping idle then would have pointed on your Idle air control valve (it’s right under the throttle body; needs servicing as it commonly gets plagued with black deposits).

Kaabli swaps are done with L12A2 that is the motor for the vario City. Most put in L13A but it burns more fuel and ecu somehow manages to run the motor as well.

Compression will tell everything irrespective of what Mechanic says. Doodh ka doodh pani ka pani hojaye ga in isolating your issue.

My car engine is not swapped. It was overhauled.
