He applied them by hand but its been done in a good way no spaces or lose ends more over the adhesive is quiet super strong

No not at all the car is very silent on the road however the doors of majority cars are not completely sealed unless its a Jaguar or a Range Rover. This is a cheap alternate of that which helps you enjoy the same level of silence in a car much cheaper than Jags and Range Rovers

Regarding the sound deadening, did you just do the inner skin of the doors or have you covered the outer skin too? I do see a piece of deadener behind the speaker but was wondering if the whole outer skin is covered.

Also, 6500 for 3 lambo sheets is kinda high considering you can get 3 sheets of stinger roadkill for 6k. I managed to cover each front door (inner+outer skins) in 1.5 sheets of roadkill. Plus 1 sheet of roadkill for each of the back doors. Plus the roadkill has a thicker aluminum/ butyl rubber combo.

Nevertheless, a sheet of closed cell foam (jumbolon) will help with further reducing the road noise. Give it a try

i think 6500 includes the labor cos as well. Disco music isb is a good place to get it done properly in islamabad

Ever heard of ensolite arsalan bhai? I was quoted a price of $114 (3 yards of ensolite+shipping) by RAAMmat. Its kind of a closed cell foam and I was wondering If I should apply that over the stinger before the final layer of stock insulation. It does what jumbolon should also technically do so is it worth it?

i am pretty sure you can find something similar here for a much cheaper price. shipping alone would be around 50$ or more as these things are heavy. try the rubber shops in babu mohalla for something similar

Front stage: Hertz HV 165 components, Rear stage Pioneer 1605c . After sound since i am not a deep bass lover i will not add amp the from a starters point of view the sound is good enough clear as a day and enough loud to keep the listening pleasurable. Road sound 30 to 35% reduced.

I went there yesturday, they were closed... How much did the complete sound deadening cost u?... I plan to have the same done for our gen 3 and vitz trunk...

The whole thing costed me around 13500 for 4 doors. I am yet to get the trunk done. Where as i do feel that there is no more need for sound deadning .

really nice! great to see the sound deadening really works. i have plans to carry sound deadening next months four doors in/out, floor and trunk as well. hoping to see some difference after the job.

That is indeed true for cars which have big 2.4 Litre engine or above but this is a 1.8 a small hybrid engine and cars like these are Family oriented cars which are suppose to be comfortable and silent. The main difference it makes is on the sound quality of the speakers. Imagine every door of car acting like a sealed wooden box the results are obvious perfect sound quality and no increasing the volume at highway speeds.....

The spare wheel well is in the car cabin in prius and station wagons. Getting it damped make quite a drfference. One other place is rearwheel arch. U will still feel a positive difference if u add damping in these palces.

That is a great idea i will get that done. I am already quiet impressed with the results and i am sure that adding the sound deadning material in wheel arches will make a mammoth difference

I just had this done on my gli. I used Stinger RoadKill, got it done from the same shop. Aamir charged me 7.5k for both front doors (multiple sheets went in), and I'm very happy with the difference it has made. It wasn't as expensive as I'd imagined, and the rattle is completely gone (my sub used to make the front doors rattle something fierce before, and now the rattle is completely gone). If you knock on the front and rear doors from the outside, the difference is clear. Also, the front doors now close with a nice solid "thud", compared to the noise they used to make.

I might go back to get the boot area done, although for now I actually don't hear the need to. Its also a good thing to have done on your car, if you're even semi-serious about car audio, because with the much lower road noise, every sound out of the front components is now more detailed and, well, rich.
