yar actually the reason i dont do it is kinda stupid one, but makes sense to me.

ap sab tou huay naee naee garioon walay, meri bechari buddhii maee ban gae hy ab. with 255k kms on it, i expect to hear different kinds of sounds from anywhere in the car everytime i take it out. if i do hear any slightest sound, i follow the lead n find the culprit n fix it. if i get this done, the car would reduce the feedback it provides me n i might not be able to fix things before they fall apart this holds true for the engine atleast. every week, a new sound can be heard, it may be a bearing or a squeaky generator belt etc etc. otherwise i had planned to do this to the bonnet, last year, to reduce the engine sound.

yes i think i should do it with the doors atleast. u used a really very thick jumbolon sheet! i ll use the same if i do it. how much of it did u buy?
and did u put it as a single piece on each door or a number of smaller pieces cut to fit easily through the empty spaces in the door frame?

sorry for the silly question but what kind of noise r u talking about? the external noise? cuz i never feel any noise from the machinary of door while driving of closing etc?

I have already done it with 3/4" thick jumbulan in my Alto 2012. I used it in four doors, in roof, at firewall and on floor but did not noticed any reasonable sound and heat reduction. I think it is hardly 15% of sound and 20% of heat reduced.

the material you use for deadening should be dense i.e. it should fee heavy. light sheets of jumbolon wont make much difference. plus u cant do much about the noises in an alto. sorry.

Indeed that is what I was thinking.

Can you suggest something or some material that available locally?

I want to point out that I did not use any type of glue to stick the jubolan sheet except at firewall. I think it would be better to take three or four thin layers of sheet and stick them with smooth coat of samad bond to form a single thick sheet and then finally fix this sheet in the cabin throughly using a coat of samad bond or same type glue.
One friend also suggested to use one layer of thin aluminium between the layers of jumbolan sheets for better results.

you can check rubber stores (the ones that sell belts and rubber mats for machinery) for some dense rubber sheets.

True. The basic science involved in this process is to add some extra weight to the metal parts so that their usual resonance frequency is changed to a different value.

Metal sheets used in our cars vibrate with the speakers bouncing in them and also when we open/close a door. This is the difference between luxury cars and economy class compact vehicles that less or almost no dampening is used to minimize road noise and vibrations. We have to add those, not some extra sheets sticking on to them which are useful for causing rust inside of the door assembly.
Though the thin aluminum sheets idea is a good one and a cheap alternative to dynamat but I doubt samad bond will hold them flawlessly tight for extended periods of time.

Right. 2-3 mm Rubber with jambolon is good idea. I have worked on this but issue is the bad odour of rubber. Lets see when I find a odourless rubber ?

Yea but this weight will not more than the CNG Cylinder, lying empty in me car for the previous two months. Lol.
Infact adding some weight of a suitable material is the actual idea to achieve the target of deadening the sound.
