To me they are simply nice sounding components, thats why they are still in my car.... You know how good i am throwing things away and buying new ones if i dont like em
The fact that you find Access bleeding bright, refers to the fact that you like the "laid-back" sound. So why install amp with a crisp or bright sound at first place?
^^Same is said for all the Focal range that they are bright n stuff. But the thing is almost everyone of us has switched from xyz brands to Focals.
Either you can have a laid-back sound or either you can get detail.... but you cant get the best of both worlds at the same time. You have to choose one of them.
Sometimes Impact is confused for brightness... to understand what natural sounding setup or audio components are, we have to listen to a live instrument or a vocalist (without any electronic amplification or enhancement).
Keeping it simple, lets take the "dhool" waala playing his dhool on a mehndi n his sidekicks playing that chan chan wala chankana (whatever it is calledl lol :P) we all have heard those instruments thats why i am quoting this example. Do we refer that as brightness or do we refer that as the impact and detail of the sound...?
Now if you record that music somehow with some really pro level recording and play it on your setup, should it sound as it was played in the live performance or should it sound more like we want to our personal tastes?
To test that Buy an original Audio Cd, Pichal Pairee by Overload. If i remember correctly there is a Dhool number in it played by Papu Sayien, play that CD and try it, does it sound as natural as it should be??? is the impact there???
P.S. There is no audio component designed to get the best of both worlds. Now it depends on what sort of music you listen to i-e Jazz, soul, RNB, Rock, Classical etc.
Again, both the amps are not Audiophile grade amps, so don't expect the reviewers to be SQ listeners
Hope i answered the question.
