When I bought the car, I thought I would drag these stock Tyres for a year and then will change them.
But well before that, there came a point that I couldn't bear stock tyres.
Reasons
1. Hard and Bumpy
2. Road Noise

Once I made up my mind to change tyres, I started doing my research and came up with short listing to four tyres
1. Continental CC6
2. Michelin Primacy4
3. Pirelli P7
4. Yokohama Advan dB V552

Reasons for dropping out
Yokohama Advan dB V552
1. Prone to punchures
2. wears out very quickly
3. Side wall is fragile
4. Wet Grip is not good

I really wanted continental this time
but
who ever I consulted, gave me a new name

MC5

UC6
etc etc

some one said UC6 is very good. some other said, its very hard.
some one said don't go for CC5. some one said CC5 is the best MC6 is hard

so because of all this confusion, I dropped out Continental

2018 New and Worn Summer Tyre Test
Primacy4 was oversall 1st out of 17 tyres

with following position in different categories

Dry Braking, Primacy4 was 2nd (1st is Bridgestone Turanza T005) (Pirelli P7 is 5th)

Dry Handling Primacy4 is 2nd (1st = Bridgestone Turanza) (Pirelli P7 is 3rd)

Wet Braking, Primacy4 is 1st (PirelliP7 is 6th) (Bridgestone is 7th)

Wet Handling, Primacy4 is 1st

Noise, Primacy4 is 3rd (Pirelli P7 is 7th)

the car has no handling or braking issues so I would compare noise and bumpy-ness with the stock tyres

Road noise below 60 km/hr has been reduced by about 20%
Road noise above 60 km/hr has been reduced by about 40%
Road noise in wet has been reduced about 10% on slow speeds and about 20% on high speeds

I would say, it feels about 20% to 25% softer on Primacy4 with 33psi in comparison to stock 30psi

The car feels about 5% to 10% lighter on acceleration as the role resistance is lesser of Primacy4
that may also because of 3 psi more tyre pressure

I procured tyres from Jamrud (Peshawar to Torkham border)

215/55R16 Size

Primacy4 (Germany) 57,000 Rs
Advan dB V552 (Japan) 54,500 Rs
Pirelli P7 (European) 54,000 Rs
I don't remember rate of Continental but it was more or less same

the above rate is for Tyres only and doesn't include shipping or fitting or balancing

it was about 2,500 to 3,000 Rs difference which is a half fuel tank
or an oil change

Not bad at all.

That actually means one of two things:

You got the Michelins very reasonably priced; or
The Yoko Advan dbs are ridiculously overpriced because they have become the GoTo tyre for the average Pakistani Consumer

in order to comment on what you said, let me share my workings with you regarding tyre prices

Primacy4 Price in Islamabad/Pindi
Maximum Price I was quoted 78,000/-
Minimum Price I was quoted 67,200/-

AdvanDb V552 Price in Islamabad/Pindi
Maximum 65,000/-
Minimum 58,000/-

I bought Tyres cheap, that is because I bought them at Pak-Afghan Border Price
Over there price of
Primacy is 57,000 (without fitting)
AdvanDb is 54,000
Pirelli P7 54000

all the above prices/tyres I am taking about is 215/55R16
and today is 11 March 2018
Because I know some one will find this 5 years back and will call me to get him tyres on this price.
