I once did this in Axio. Bought a buzzer which is normally installed in motor cycles with indicators...that does tee tee tee with the light. .. and wired it up with the indicator light in the fender... placed it in the engine bay. It gave tee tee sound as the light blinked when the car locked and unlocked... along with flashing indicators. To stop it from beeping with normal indicator, I wired it with a relay that got current from ignition.... so that it was powered only when the ignition was off.
Worked perfectly fine for two years till I sold the car.
I personally prefer OEM set ups so the journey started with the search of original buzzer which is found in Japanese cars with push start. After literally turning sultan ka khoo upside down, I did find a front half cut fielder with the buzzer located inside the right wheel arch. Got it removed and brought it home... only to get disappointed. That buzzer is only a speaker... that is, it works not when you give it 12v but it requires a beep signal from the control unit. That was too much already so I gave up on that OEM buzzer and installed the motorcycle buzzer mentioned earlier.
For your car if you install the buzzer with the light, it will give you a beep when you lock it but after that the problem will remain... it won't beep again on a subsequent press of the remote lock button. But still one beep conformation should be enough.
Anyway I understand that no visual feedback from your car when you press the lock button in locked state must be quite frustrating. How about pressing the unlock button and then the lock button again? You would at least get the visual confirmation, although it will still be a two step confirmation.
