I just wanted to know if any one have used those spare wheel kits being sold on olx in new suzuki alto to carry spare wheel ? If any one can share there experience about it ? Is it a good working solution to carry a tyre in trunk or there is no solution for it ?? I understand we can put a donut tyre but there is no way to fix it also in the trunk so it will keep on moving while driving..besides suzuki falcon motors in sargodha is not recomending to use those donut tyres ..

First thing first, share the link so we know what kind of kit you are looking to have views off.

Also if you want to do it the smart way rather the fools way like the pak suzuki did, you can buy a donut tyre which comes in some 660cc japanese cars (Bear in mind that JDM alto doe snot come with spare tyre either) BUT

You can use the donut tyres in emergency situations should they happen.

You can neatly cut the Foam tray in the booth and the donut tyre will fit perfectly in between leaving a perfect flat floor and below the carper you wont even know if the tyre is lying there...

Thanx for ur reply and pics..in ur expert opinion in case of emergency if i drive with this donut tyre it will balance the car pretty good ? And in the long term will not damage suspension, balance or any other mechanical thing in the caar ??

man what are you asking, tell me u dont believe that a spare tyre can unbalance the car, or damage suspension, do you?

I am asking that if we use donut tyre in suzuki alto as spare or extra tyre , is that ok coz i asked suzukuki falcon motors they told me we do not recomend it ? So in case if emergency while travelling on long routes if i am using this donut tyre will it balance my car like normal tyres ? It will damage car mechanically in any way or ok to use ? Hopefully that clears my point of view ...

Spare wheel ka itna bara masla nae hai.

Ziada problem hoto roof pe carrier lagain usmei rakhdein spare wheel ko. Zindagi aur mout ka masla na banain.

Ager apko suzuki ki spare wheel kit nae kharidna to koi b tire leike diggi mei rakhdein. Hilta jhulta rehga. Ager apko hilne jhulne se takleef hoto suzuki wali kit lekin tire fix hojaega. Apki zindagi sakoon mei ajaigy.

Mara question yahi tha kay kisi ney ye kit use b ko hai..kio kay ye lahore suzuki walo kay pass available hi nai..sirf suzuki bhawalpur ney advertise ki hai.so agar ap ney practically use ki hai tab batay..

if you look at all the pictures shared in the olx link. you may or may not realize the person has totally destroyed the rear deck space making it useless.

more decent way to carry a spare wheel & keep deck usable is shared by @hash737 in post #25 that have answered your question more technically without compromising on deck space.

aur spare tyre hur gari ka sirf SHOT TIME period use kernay k lyea hota hai...koi subah dopeher shaam spare tyre per gari nahi chalata....spare tyre best condition mien hona chahyea, agar woh wear out hoa ho tou maqsad he khatam.

Dear Dr Naveed, Including me and all valuable pakwheels members here have been recommending you to use donut tyre if you want to have it to use for emergency, again Pak Suzuki has provided repair kit aswell, you can use it on your existing tires. This donut tyre is meant to be used when in case your tire gets totally busted( Phat Jae) maybe by hitting some sharp object, its obvious you cant repair it with that kit.

If your tire is busted, how would you drive your car to home or any repair spot ? Thats what donut tyre is meant to be used for, if you use donut tyre it wont harm your suspension anything if driven under moderate speed of 40-50 and it should be in good condition.

Its pretty obvious why PakSuzuki would recommend you to use donut tire !
They have a point that they have provided repair kit thats enough for you, but the point is we dont have ideal conditions of our roads, there is always a possibly that tire might get burst if you are unlucky. Then only you use donut tyre.
