Yes you are right standard MR2's are cheap in Japan (prices start from only £1000!!), the prices I stated are for heavily modified drag/track examples.

Thanks bro, exact power is unknown as there is no dyno sheet. We estimate around 500+bhp. It competed in HKS Drag events in 2000/2001 and also in top speed events more recently.

mr2's in slight/mid state of tune can be skittish, and with that much power in a "small" mid engined car with rear wheel drive (not 4wd) handling can be tricky at its limit !!

p.s 12k for an mr2 ????

It all depends on how it is tuned/set up and driven. I have seen similar spec MR2’s comfortably hit 10seconds on the ¼ mile. This MR2 is set up for Drag not Track so I would never recommend this MR2 for a track car in its current state of tune.

If a vehicle is not properly set up even 4WD cars will have problems putting the power down. I have seen Norris Designs Evo awesome car but it has problems putting the power down as well as SUMO powers R33 GTR Drag.

12k price is an estimate, but this will be for a completely bonkers 600ps+ newly built demo car from the likes of Garage SPL. Expensive but only a handful in the world.

You need to understand the amount of money, time, effort, research.. etc that goes into building these monsters. Put it this way some of these demo cars have well over £25K spent on modifications (parts alone). So really you are saving a lot of money by buying it already built.

Trust me there are no shortages of customers for these cars as they are so rare.

@HarlowJapAutos mate live inb pakiland at the moment but every summer iam in scotland u.k lived most of my life there
the skyline gtr R34 vspec was old car of mine recently i heard it was on sale again for some wht 24k
ur mr2 IS A REAL MACHINE and yup cars like these are worth 12k even as they are rare! but i wouldnt pay more then a 5-8k for MR2 if yaa got any skyline gtr R34 99 in japan in purple would eb interested though not highly tunned. as fixin em here in pakiland wont be easy.
