@ Zafraan: Lets say I get the PTCL Broadband installed, which I am going to soon and I want to use my wireless laptop with it, I need a router ofcourse for that... Can I use this one???
And what is this exchange thing you ppl are talking about??? Does that matter???

yes you can use your laptop with it, but your laptop should have a wifi (Wireless LAN) card

@funkycapricorn: Ofcourse u can use this one DSL broadband service is not dependent on the type of CPE(Customer premises equipment) u are using, rather DSL service is dependent on the distance of ur home from the PTCL exchange ur number is working from; the more distance from the exchange the more the signal would weaken (that is what we are talking about in the blog) and ofcourse the condition of ur telephone line or "pair"

u need AP (Access Point) router for using WiFi(wirless) With ur laptop, and of course DSL connection is required as well..

i'm using Linksys Cisco AP (Access Point) for WiFi (wireless) on my laptop and mobile phone (as ma mobile has WLAN) with PTCL DSL connection and it is going good as i can use net without any cable in my home...

what is the range of wifi? i mean how far we can sit with wifi ON?
