Yes he told you correctly the distributor of gree is also distributor of samsung ... this does not mean both are made by same company ....DWP is main distributor of both brands ....one is koren (samsung) and other is Chinese (GREE) .....in china dawlance and gree are made by same company according to some

Here are pics of ma new 1.5 ton gree. its model number is GS-18CZ7.
Power consumtion: cooling input 1900 Watts.
Tried it again today afternoon and the cooling is awesome!

Bought Kenwood AC 1.5 ton yesterday
model # is ZR 18S
Power consumption is 2200 watts,air throw is pretty good.
Manufacturing date is 15 april 2010

i did lot of research few months ago.i was looking for Inverter type AC.i searched alot and finally bought Haier CY18 (1.5ton).its the the only inverter type AC available in Pakistan.
In conventional AC's Mitsubishi Mr Slim and Mitsubishi Heavy duty are best.
in ur mentioned brands both Gree and Haier are equaly good.

in my opinion.. Mitsubishi is more energy efficient.. last summer I tried gree, performance is good but overall heavy on the pocket.

what is your experience with gree?

ok finally got a gree 1.5 ton for 35K + installation charges (i think its a bit overpriced but hell what everything is in pak these days). one good thing is its original installation kit that came in the price.

cooling seems ok, just used one day. I am more concerned about its power consumption compared to mitsu 1.5 ton. Will have to see how it affecs next month's electricity bill.

i have same quiestion i also need a split ac for home as we have old russian window ac but in my area low voltage is a comman game and russians are heavy on bill plus russiaon ac trips for 4 hours and restarts again but only when it gets full voltage
My another concern will gree 1900watt ac run on a 2.5kva ganerator if yes then i,m buying one

the highest thermal performance I had had with these newer local air-conditioners is Orient.

When installing please make sure that after connecting the unit, your A/C tech pulls a solid vacuum before opening the valves on the outer unit. There are many goofs out there posing as A/C techs which know nothing at all. Also make sure that the tech adds gas as required if the pipes are longer. It will work nice.

Depending on the placement of the unit and your demands - you may need a more heavy duty unit like a General or Winia with American Bristol Compressor to keep up. (e.g. if you live at the highest floor and have a low(ish) ceiling.

so i got my self a haier 1.5 ton lek series it was insatelld yesterday but low vlotage made problem it diidnt worked so bought a 7000 W stablizer and its now working good way better cooling then russians i'll post pics in a few days

I have had many air conditioners installed in my home but I have yet to find an installer who has a vacuum pump. When I ask them about it, they don't even know what it is. And all of these people claim to be authorized installers. Some are slightly better than the others, but overall they are all one and the same.
