This is not TL bro. TL is totally different. TL the older models in Japan are called Honda Saber & Honda Inspire. While the new Honda Legends are the Acura 3.5 RL and the latest version of the RL from Acura. i'm a die-hard toyota fan, but the J32A2 (3.2L 260hp) and J35A3 (3.5L 240hp) can hold their own when in contact with the early 1UZ-FE (4.0L 256hp in 1989), however the later model 1UZ-FE (290hp in 1997) ran circles around the honda powerplants.

Not sure if many knew, but the revised 1UZ-FE was voted onto the "ward 10 best engines award" list from 1998-2000

^ Great info. But the J engines by honda has manufactured the The latest variant J37A1 which displaces 3664 cc with bore 90 mm and stroke of 96 mm. Compression ratio is 11:1. Rated output is 300 hp (220 kW) at 6000 rpm and 275 ft·lbf (373 N·m) at 5000 rpm. The J37 is used in the 2007+ Acura MDX. So the MDX with the J37 is not in the same category of vehicles as the 1UZ-FE but still manages to pull the leg of the 2UZ-FE which is in the class of SUVs. And the 2UZ-FE happens to be used in the following:
2004 Toyota Tundra
2004 Toyota Sequoia
2004 Lexus GX 470
2005 Toyota 4Runner
2008 Toyota Land Cruiser.
