Spotted Hummer @ Peshawar Dry Port

This Hummer had a clearence issue, before it was parked in karachi port from a long time and then they paid the damerage and transferred to peshawar and it is facing problem, so now owner is thinking to send it back to Dubai.

ring road is on the back side of my home and similarly i see several such cars from my roof and some times on uni. road when going to college but mostly on ring road from roof
fews days ago, saw a red camry which was stopped and the sufi sahab driving it was checking radiator.

So whats the myth behind this ?

Yup, these are the transit cars taken daily and crossed over to the neighbors for same. If you wanna see the variety, get up early morning and pick a traffic signal (where they might stop if its red) and enjoy. The last car crosses before 7:30AM now-a-days (usually).

Waisay I hope it's been standing there for a while and not a recent import. You've got mental issues if you're still importing Hummers in to a place like Pakistan.

well we see USDM Vehicles everyday .... mostly damaged running towards Torkham Border.... so i think its allowed.... or may be there is some planning behind this.... Tundra, 4Runner, Land Cruisers, 1988 Corolla Station Wagons, AE101's ( majority ) , Current generation of Corolla.... Camry's, Tundra's etc etc :P....

These cars are imported from canada, USA, Holland and germany, for Afghanistan. these cars are imoprted through transit from pakistan to Afghanistan. These cars are transferred from Khi port to NLC dryport near nowshera and from there they transfer the cars to jalalabad Afghanistan through torkham. The reson you see many cars on ring road coz of the transportation expense which is around 100K to 120K, which is not feasible. they pay 2000 RS to every driver to drive the car to Jalalabad customs so thats why they take the cars by road. the duty on cars in Afghanistan is 15%. so thats why you see new and used cars going there.

Thanks for the info, I really didn't knew that but I wrote left hand drive with it because once on t.v I saw that harbajan singh (indian cricketer) ordered a right hand drive hummer.
