I used this new cable while installing a new amp and the alternator noise that it picked up was horrible... the way I had to wire it was not ideal (directly over the driveshaft, i've heard this is not great) however it was far from power wires etc, and i ended up using Kicker Z series RCA cables instead which worked flawlessly with no noise what so ever in the same setup.
Assuming both cables are made from the same quality of materials, they’re both the same. They are both unbalanced audio connections, so they will suffer from interference that will become bothersome when the cables are too long, but if they’re short cables like ones you can buy from a shop already prefabricated, less than 15 ft in length, there won’t be any noticeable degradation.
RCA cables can be physically stronger since they can be made with a larger gauge of cable than the thinner cables you’d find commercially available at here.
So theoretically you could have an RCA cable with “better audio quality” but you won’t notice it unless you have the hearing of a bat and have audio playing back at ultrasonic frequencies.
