Stabilizer for 1.5 Ton Split AC - Plz Suggest

Yes circuit breaker does NOT do anything to stabilize. It is just a breaker that will trip and disconnect the circuit over extra load. It makes sure that you dont have short-circuit problem.
Though all stabilizers have circuit breakers buil-in, but I would suggest using another one (a good quality one) breaker with electronic items that require some good power like AC. It is a good idea to use circuit breaker instead of ACs socket plug, thats what I have done too. You can use breaker as a switch too

I have breaker installed. I was trying to ask if the breaker will turn off if voltage drops down or rise saving my AC? I know breaker doesn't stabilize, I am just concerned about the damage to my compressor if voltage fluctuates.
How will a 5000 watt universal stabilizer will cost?

By the way done with the wiring for second AC, will get another AC next week and have decided to go for Haier this time.

if voltage drops too low and component start increasing ampere too much then breaker will save the component from mal-functioning, but it will not save the unit from over-heating. It depends on which sort of breaker you use. Also if there is any fault in the wiring then also the breaker will help you saving your attached component.
5000 watts Universal will cost something around 6K these days in the market.
Personal opinion, dont go for Haier now at this time. Their units currently in the market are not so good. It has been told to me both from my AC guy and my elctronic equipments dealer. Either go for LG or Mitsubishi. Don't save a couple of thousands for which you have to repent later on. Take this as an advice from a friend dear.

By the way my AC guy praises Panasonic (Malaysian/Indonesian/Thailand) too. My previous office as around 20 Panasonic 1.5 tons units and they used to work really well. My this AC guy used to maintain the ACs at my previous office and Panasonic really required less maintenance plus their cooling and blower is very good too. Dont know their actual price though but I think they are somewhat less than the Mitsubishisi ones...

One more note to all about these Chinese brand ACs:
Dealer get more profit on selling these new chinese brands (like Haier, SG, Gree) from the importer. Plus they also have bonus margin over selling more like 10 units
While established brands like LG and Mitsubishi, they have limited/less profit. Thats why they promote these cheap brands.

Using 1.5 ton split unit...i have extremely low voltage during peak summer (drops to 140-160V).

Installed a Stabimatic 5000watts stabiliser with it, worked well for 3 years. Recently got out of order, the Stabimatic dealer was asking Rs 3000 for repairs, I got it fixed from Saddar Electronic Market in Rs 850 with 6 months guarantee. Its working fine now.

Got Universal A-50 I think Around 5-6 Years Back....! Working On My Sanyo Window Type 1.5Ton Unit...!!

Replaced Circuit Breaker Once After 4-5 Years....Beside That...Nothing Went Wrong..Working All Fine...But The Sound Of Steppers and Relays Are Hell When Voltage Fluctuates....!!

It Was Universal A-50 I think 5000Watt....!! Works Fine...Try Grabbing It From Big Dealer So You Can't Get Copied Stuff As Nowdays..There Are Quiet So Many Peoples Just Changing Name Differently And Make Looking Same Is Making Quiet Cheap Stuff And Using Name Of Popular Brands....!!

So Be Aware And Check Seals And Hologram before buying

Who is the authorized dealer of Universal in Karachi? I need name and exact location. I guess last time I bought the original universal stabilizer. The shop was on the left side of waqar electronics saddar.

You can check Rabia Electronics at Hasan Square (besides Quetta Sajji). There would be a person Ghaffar, I always purchase items from him. He is a dealer and very reasonable guy and does not sell sub-quality products. You can take my reference also if you like to.

Zank brother i have this Universal Stabilizer lying under my bed in 100% working condition, it was used for hardly a month or so (as Voltage issue was resolved in my area just after i bought this unit!), worked EXCELLENT with Pel 1.5 ton Window type AC, now its sitting idle for 6 - 7 years.

For its Working or any other Flaw i can give full 1 week return warranty, this unit was bought from an authorized dealer of only Universal Stabilizerss and is a lot heavier than today's Universal (Y)

Never opened or Repaired is my Guarantee ! if you still havent bought a Stabilizer then i ll give you this one for a good price (Y)
