Dear Hanif Bhai, Zain Bhai and all members of the expedition:
Assalam Alaikum.

I really missed this enjoyable activity due to some other engagements despite Zain Bhai's numerous reminders. Masha Allah it turned out to be a very well organised and informative tour.

I don't have any words to appreciate HB's photography. Besides I can't find Zain bhai commenting anywhere on the thread.

Thank you lovebikes for coming out of the cozy bed for taking this shot.

Within the red square is Omega Centauri - the core of a small galaxy that was devoured by our own galaxy billions of years ago. This object can be seen without optical aid from most of Pakistan.

The stubby "cylinder" is a catadioptric telescope with a primary mirror diameter of 10 inches. We were mounting it on its computerized base so that it can automatically level and align the telescope, find out the cardinal north and then the co-ordinates. Then the telescope can be ordered to locate and track celestial objects using the hand controller which interfaces with the base.
