and do we have to get a new clockspring for these controls to work? is the installation process easy and clean? i don't wanna get the interior messed up just because of the controls.

no u dont need to change clock spring in ORIEL civic

only in hard top civic u need to change clock spring

wiring is soo simply just clip on
diy is only of 20 mins

@309 no u dont have to buy a new clockspring,only ivtec reqs new clocky. i.e y istafa,khurram n fouad bought oriel clockies as they have ivtec versions. No tearing apart the interior, u will req to open only 3 screws rest all are clips. Have u chaecked out the DIY i wrote on adding aux n audio controls to 8th civic?ive explained step by step installation. U just have to connect 2x20 inchs long wire. No soldering req. If u were near by u couldve come over to my place do aftaar n before that we would've done it together. I recommend doing it yourself as 1 does things with care n lov 4 da car. When i did it i had many towels etc to avoid scratches n scuffs n ALHAMDULILLAH not even the slightest of any n car as good as new. Total time taken would be around 1 hr to incl fixing the bottons.

show ur father this link n he sure will be convinced INSHAALLAH! if ur budget is less n want the audio controls only then this is a great deal offered by qasim, if u want to go to the next step then u'll buy the whole steering(but will cost u much more) which is leather wrapped n has both audio n cruise controls (i will write a DIY INSHAALLAH for the cruise. But it will take some time due to tech issues. But it is on the cards for every1!

yes available at some good accessories stores in lahore & karachi
but that is tooo expensive about 30k

Altis controls are available in Lahore @ 8000 to 10000. No device required for work with Sony, Pioneer, Kenwood , Alpine etc.

City and Civic have same steering reel. I didn’t see by opening steering but one of my close friend working in ATLAS confirms that “we have only 2 type of steering reels one is for City and Civic NON air Bag versions and 2nd is for Air bag versions”.
