Doesn't Grande already have leather steering? Why would it need further on top of the oem leather. I had to get Civic done because oem is urethane.

Mine is Altis 1.8 CVT-i Cruisetronic. Not Grande. This is the hardtop version which doesn't come with OEM stitched steering.

I am planning to do this on my Alto VXR 2006. Will it look good? Or do I need to add a steering cover and apply the stitching to make it look fat?

The stitched leatherite feels good. If Alto's steering is too thin from oem, then you may consider covering it up with steering cover and then having it over stitched with leatherite. Ask the stitching guy, he can guide you better. Thicker steering grips feel better.
