@archronbhai, that's ironic because i also bought plugs for my steermatic from fairsale autos last Saturday. I asked Mr Mohsin for the ones that will give maximum performance. He provided me with Splitfire Tripple Platinium plugs. 2500 for the set of 4.

Didn't got time this whole week to replace the plugs. Will do it on Sunday inshallah

Used 3M car wash shampoo and 3M perfect it liquid wax. Very happy with the results. I believe its its the best wax available in the local market.

went to Lahore via Motorway, on my return trip got the tank filled up in Lahore to full level. My ride gave me 16.6 km/l with 98% A/C on.

Is this good for a 1.5 auto???

@retro the milage is indeed excellent. BTW, at what speed were you driving because the car gives excellent milage if you drive at 110-120 but once you cross 140 it drinks petrol and the avg. drops to 13-14

i raced wid manual and on s mode and after 140 i put the car on CVT on s mode ...the car roxxx

steermatic roxxxx indeed - a great car but very underrated

My steermatic is not performing very well these days. engine takes lot of revs but car doesn't respond very well and is very sluggish.

I went to Honda pitstop at cavalry and the guy said that after throttle body service it will be okay. It improved a bit but not quite.

I checked it on motorway and was not able to go beyond 165. On initial gears its reponse is sluggish and after 80km/hr repsonse is bit better. What could be wrong with my dear steermatic.

I have laser iridium plugs, Shell Helix oil HX-7, 10W-40, geniune filters etc. The mileage it is giving on highway is 13.5km/hr on petrol.

how much is ur car driven? did u got tappet adjustment after 20,000kms?
may be thats cause the problem if u havnt got it done.

cars driven 45k and changed the gear oil at 43k.

yes tappet adjustment was done at 20k.

@vazim: bro it is strange indeed - hope u dont have CNG in your ride. My ride has done around 35,000 and gave me 16.6 on the motorway on 120km/h average speed with 98% A/C on.

Check your tire pressure as well, other than that some other member can suggest better

tappet adjustment at 20,000 .....

i have never opened my head cover of my steermatic!!!! car is running fine milage is 41k i think no need of tappet adj as per the manual

@vazim when did u put laser iridium ???

^tappet adjustment at 20k intervals is for cng vehicles. If running on petrol even a mehran can go 100k w/o one.
