I am in planning phase and going through different plans and layouts. I came across this topic and impressed with brothers sharing their experiences and helping out others.
So my plan is to construct with dual garage/separate entrances for upper and lower portions. its a 1 kanal corner plot. Constructing basement is out of question as I do not have funds for it nor see utility as basements hardly get sunlight.
I would appreciate if you could just give me some preliminary ideas and plans or drawings for dual garage separate entrances for 1 kanal house.
Last but not least who here, from lahore, is a professional house builder/contractor?

What about poloshing marble? I i polish it now then during paint work it wud b stained.

It depends on which stage you are now. Practically, marble polish shall be done before last coat of paint. If you have plan for earlier polish then you can lay polythene on floor to avoid polish damage.

@tajammal bhai please guide us regarding sliding gates. I am going to install the same but most of the opinions I hv got are not to do so because it will stuck after sometime.

let me add my opinion and experience. Sliding gate if made with thin frame (called 'haddi' in welder's language) and is made to slide on a very thin diameter rod and is out of alignment, it will surely be a headache of lifetime.

Spend some time on finding good fabricator and ask him to show his finished work installed at few houses. Slide the gate numerous time, check width of frame and diameter of sliding base rod.

I want to use ceramic tiles for the flooring due to budget constarints, but dont want to have large visible grooves in between two tiles which looks very dirty when it turns out to be black with the passage of time....is there any way to avoid these big grooves using ceramic tiles?

I want to get Windows Tint paper/sheet as our contractor missed to put the proper glass. What tinted paper/sheet is available in Lahore or online and how to use it. We want to look outside from the window but we dont want anybody from outside to see inside the rooms. Can we do it by ourselves or should call a contractor to fix it?

Dear i want to ask a question regarding the construction of my house.

I have built a single story 10 marla house. On the first floor i have built just one room at the front side as to complete the front eleveation of the house. My contractor advised me to do flooring (kacha) of the remaing ground floor roof instead of pouring sand and fixing yiles on it. He told me to have done the underground sewerage wiring of the first floor baths and kitchen which are to be constructed in the future.
Is it possible

Our build is also situated near tarnol. The contractor we hired was referred by our Architect who happens to be a friend of my father. However, that contractor was good for structure only. In finishing works his workmen were Shi@@@.
We awarded contract on labor basis only. All the material was sourced by us.
