Sir actually all the wires inside the door are routes through this harness, may it be speaker wire, central locking, power windows etc. SO its better to route the wires through the harness, both aesthetically and its the right way to do it

which banda, i dont think so... cos it took more than an hour to do it, seems simple in the pic but was a tough job to do. any installer wud avoid this to save his time

waisay what about RCAs? If power wires are being routed from left, and RCAs from right, shouldn't speaker wire+remote wire be routed from center as you advised for corolla? In this case seems like speaker wire and RCAs will be routed from same side

@lafafa : sir about the hair dryer, though dynamat extreme is very flexible already but still applying heat makes it more pliable and easier to work with, and yes many DIY installers do use hair dryer to heat it up and can be used , just will take some more time..

heat gun or hair dryer is not necessary for application. I dynamataed my corolla without all of this. Didn't even used a roller (although a roller would make life bit easier)

IF the rest of this thread turns out to be as good and comprehensive as it has started off, then I have the following comment to make:

I was part of a discussion recently where it was being argued that PW is not like the old PW anymore, with not enough knowledge being shared. I say PW is better than ever because now we have section-wise experts (people like yourself) who put in a lot of effort for the benefit of other members. I know posting up detailed DIYs is a taxing job.

Keep up the good work, thread subscribed.

P.S. I saw your previous install in the civic and became a big fan of it. It's high time we start putting some heart and soul in our music rather than just going to the local 'deck wala' and getting a low quality, quick install.

Yes sir posting the diy is really hectic, specially when it comes to taking pictures.... all the hands are dirty and then again cleaning the hands then grabing the cam just for a single shot

Applied DynaXorb to the doors today:

This is how dynaXorb looks like; its meant to deflect and absorb the back waves of the speakers. For the same reason we apply Polyfill aka Polyester sheet inside the subwoofer enclosure. Although apposed by many here on PW and i took some serious heat too for that matter But its a must thing to do, thats why such material like DynaXorb are made n marketed.

Back side of dynaXorb along with the instructions and glue.

installed right behind the speaker mounting for maximum effectiveness.

tomorrow inshallah will dynamat the doors from the front. Also requested DrShaggy and AD873 to accompany me and help me with the dynamating process

Maybe you guys don't know this, but once this install is completed, it would be the best SQ system of Pakistan! The only other system which will match this system would be of DrShaggy (pending some arriving items), which has the same exact specs! So in short, we are all lucky to have 2 of the best SQ systems of Pakistan at these forums. Some of you may dispute my claim of these being the best SQ systems and say that other people also have Focals installed. Yes we know other people have also installed Focal LE amplifiers and/or KRX2s but NO ONE has the complete combination of KRX2 running active on top of the line processor MS-8, properly dampened cars, top of the line HU, top of the line amps and wiring except stj174 & DrShaggy!

So in short, what I want to say is that you guys should take full advantage and pesk both of them 24/7 for advice and demos etc. In case they refuse to share their contact details with you, PM me and I'll happily provide
