Dear Brothers
After waiting for two long months, I finally got the bike Alhamdulillah. It is a beautiful machine and a lot of fun to operate. The build quality, paint and graphics, all have a premium feel. It also has a USB port for mobile charging etc. Handling is very convenient. Pick is good and brake is strong. Obviously I have not experienced the complete pick up and braking because I'm still in the break-in period.
The only issue is the riding position. The clip ons give the bike a really nice aggressive look, however you have to lean on the handle while riding. So your wrists have to bear your body weight. At one point I drove it for about 5 KM without stopping and I got tired and started praying to find a red light so I can stretch. So I'm definitely getting rid of the clip-ons soon and installing a high handlebar very soon. Edit: This change is not required. After a month, I got used to the riding position and the original handle bars are really enjoyable. They also give great control.
Another problem that some people have shared is that they think the fuel tank gets hot. While it did get a little warm, I didn't find it too hot at any point. Also, from what I am hearing, the heat goes away after the first oil change, especially if you use a thicker oil (such as Liqui Moly 20w50). Dealer has advised the first oil change at 500KM, second at 1500KM and subsequent oil changes at 2000KM each.
Safety First: As soon as the dealer called me and told me to expect the bike in the next few days, I immediately bought a helmet. It is a Studds Ninja 3G bought through WhatsApp and Bank Transfer from Studds Pakistan. They are very reliable and helpful. I have also bought biker gloves from the same vendor and will soon get a riding jacket inshaAllah.
The next step is to get the registration documents from the dealer. He said it will take about 8 days.
Oh and here is my picture with the bike. You can easily tell that a typical shareef naukri pesha aadmi is trying to pose like a biker
