Any gadget will do the job but I agree without knowing the person no one can give you perfect idea.Personally I like after shave and a nice outfit than anything else.

@ OP you need to share some info about the guy. You could go for a tablet, perhaps wearable tech.

If he is a car guy, then how about something for his ride. Could range from a decent sound system to stage 1 performance parts based in your budget

I'll suggest:-

• Photo Frame.
• Nice Quality Handkerchief
• Nice Shirt (after finding his collar size)
• Tie

Or throw a birthday treat for him and his friends on your behalf. Papu will be more then happy
